For those who don't know, Cleveland's most famous fan – John Adams, aka "Drum Guy" – hasn't been able to attend a game since 2019 due to the pandemic and then serious thyroid and heart problems. He's one of only 12 members of the Guardian's "Distinguished Hall of Fame" for non-uniformed personnel. He's still watching at home and has a special place at the top of the left field bleachers.

I always liked his drumming. Far enough away, so not too loud or annoying. Oakland Coliseum drummers, not so much. Hope he recovers.

Wow! Just got going this morning and turned on the game! What a pitcher's duel.

Walk it off Guardians! Let's go.

Naylor? I barely knew her!

This game could go 15. Both teams still have a few more decent relievers to call on.

Naylor has had some dramatic hits this year, but he's just getting himself out today.

18 innings – 2 scoring plays

That at-bat reminded me of the Trot Nixon AB against Tom Gordon with Dave Roberts on first base. Except with a different result.

Cleveland still has De Los Santos, who recently pitched an immaculate inning, and Hentges with his 10.5 K/9 rate. Then they have a couple starters in the bullpen – Morris and Plesac.

I'm pretty sure these hitters are looking forward to the shadows reaching the mound in another inning or so.

Too close to tell on that pickoff. I like the idea of replay, but I kind of hate that every single stolen base is challenged.
