Radio Stream issue

So I throw myself to those who undoubtedly know more than me about this stuff.

The basic issue is that one radion station and one station only has recently stopped streaming on my phone (either with or without TuneIn ) over my workplace's public wi-fi network. The IT guy (who I trust) assures me there is no blocking going on. The background:
Android phone. TuneIn radio app. Has worked fine pretty much forever. For several years, through TuneIn, I've listened to one radio station almost exclusively all day at work (WUMB in Boston). One day a couple of weeks ago, it would not escape buffering. It continues to not work. It works on my home wifi. It will work at the office if I cut off the wifi and use data. Every other radio station I might listen to through TuneIn comes in on the work wifi. The direct link from the station's web site does not work. Nor does entering the stream's URL into the TuneIn search.
Any ideas?

Can you open a web browser and get to: http://wumb.org/home/index.php ? When on the corporate network?

My initial guess is it's blocked because it's not a site that fits a URL Category. If the IT guy says it's not blocked, they may block "unknown" or "uncategorized" sites and he may not know it.

I can get there. I can open the embedded player and when it opens the data stream (song title, artist, etc.) appears. (In fact, it opens and plays as normal when I use the network "I'm not supposed to use." (I've been assured I'd get a call after about 10 minutes of doing that)). Same thing happens if I cut and paste the stream's URL.
The audio just doesn't load. IT says they haven't changed anything lately and this has only been happening for 2 weeks or so. I emailed the station a couple of days ago to see if they changed their stream at all, but no response so far.

I appreciate the input. It's far from the end of the world; just a peculiar annoyance.

Could it be that it's http:// not https:// and not a secure connection?

Can you ask someone else in the office to try on their phone?
Same issue. (it did occur to me that maybe it was my phone or browser. And same result with both chrome and firefox)

I suppose edoug might be onto something. But that would require something to have changed recently with either the stream or the wifi (I think). I'm also not going to examine the 10 or so other stations I have saved on TuneIn to see if their streams are http or https in order to test the theory. I do have to work for a few minutes each day, after all.

Ultimately, it'll probably be the virtual equivalent of a squirrel's nest on a transmitter and it will just go away on its own.

IT is blocking it and they don’t realize it is my guess. I work a lot with firewalls, content filters etc. and they probably got some update that’s filtering it. IT wouldn’t have to change something but some content update probably did it. That’s my guess.

Makes sense. IT guy essentially said they dont pay a lot of attention to it. As opposed to the secure/work network that they would adjust as necesary if some update was getting in the way.
