2002 Bucs/Raiders may be the last one for me.I mentioned this in the game thread, but it's such a relief to not hate one of the two teams. I can't really ever remember feeling this way about a Super Bowl, honestly. This is the least rooting interest I think I've ever had. But in a good way - I'm just going to be able to enjoy the game.
I remember rooting pretty hard against the Raiders.2002 Bucs/Raiders may be the last one for me.
It's such a relief to know I can watch the game and just enjoy whatever happens. I'm cheering for the Bengals, but only because they're the underdog.I mentioned this in the game thread, but it's such a relief to not hate one of the two teams. I really had no ill will against that team, but wasn't alive for Stingley/the 70's rivalry. How about '99, Rams vs. Titans? Two pretty innocuous franchises.I remember rooting pretty hard against the Raiders.
Definitely was anti GSOT and pro-McNair.I really had no ill will against that team, but wasn't alive for Stingley/the 70's rivalry. How about 99', Rams vs. Titans? Two pretty innocuous franchises.
You hated the '99 Rams? I could understand preferring McNair, but both those teams came out of nowhere.Definitely was anti GSOT and pro-McNair.
I was very much pro-Brooks/Sapp/Rice and Allstate Alstott then.2002 Bucs/Raiders may be the last one for me.
They completely tanked the second game.I'm rooting for the Bengals, but I'm still having a hard time believing a team that failed to beat the Browns twice has even made it this far.
Sure, and so did Cleveland… the last game was basically a scrimmage between backups, but in their first meeting in Cincinnati the Browns gave the Bengals their worst beating of the season. They completely tanked the second game.
I loved Steve McNair as a kid, and that Kevin Dyson stretch to the goal line still stings my memory.I really had no ill will against that team, but wasn't alive for Stingley/the 70's rivalry. How about '99, Rams vs. Titans? Two pretty innocuous franchises.
The Lions pantsed the Patriots in 2018. As did the Jags. And Titans. None of them made the playoffs. Weird stuff happens in the NFL.Sure, and so did Cleveland… the last game was basically a scrimmage between backups, but in their first meeting in Cincinnati the Browns gave the Bengals their worst beating of the season.
Um?I root against LA (and NY) teams on principle as well.
Plus, if you can beat KC in KC, you should be able to handle the Rams and Matt Frigging Stafford on a neutral field.
That’s probably a solid prediction, I just thought @mwonow ’s post was kinda funny under the circumstances. There were more 49ers than Rams fans last week, and the stadium will be filled with VIPs staring at their phones. I think it’s pretty close to a neutral field.
There are 2 "home" locker rooms in the stadium in addition to the visiting one. I would imagine the Rams keep their normal locker room and the Bengals will use the Chargers one.Funny thing is do they make the Rams use the visiting locker room (they won't of course)? But unlike the Tampa Bay one the Rams aren't the "home" team for the Super Bowl as it's the AFC's turn.
That happened against the Titans. Nine sacks. And he still won. That said, Joe is likely to be pounded into oblivion![]()
This is what Rapoport is reporting. There are 2 "home" locker rooms in the stadium in addition to the visiting one. I would imagine the Rams keep their normal locker room and the Bengals will use the Chargers one.
