The Twitter enigma himself, Bauer through 6 in Colorado with just a walk, one Turner error and 9 K's

It went single to Story, dong by Blackmon, walk to Cron, dinger to McMahon. Strikeout by Bauer to end his night; and then the Rockies teed off on Price for two bombs and two singles before he struck off Blackmon to end the inning.

It's the smart move this early in the season. If he were at 85 heading into the ninth, maybe you let him try to finish, but not with three innings to go.
”Maybe” you let a guy with a no hitter and 85 pitches go back out for the 9th? I’d say that’s a pretty definite yes to let him go back out. I don’t think they should’ve pulled him when they did. If he was at like 100 sure, because there’s no way he’s finishing with under 130 in that case. But 85 isn’t even close to dangerously high, it’s not out of the question that he could’ve gotten through the 7th and 8th at like 105. Pulling a guy from a no hitter with under 90 pitches is a bad move regardless of when it is in the year, unless he’s just coming back from injury. Boo is right

Jon Gray for Colorado through 6 against the D-Backs. 83 pitches. Gonna be tough to go the distance.

Joe Musgrove through 7. He'd be perfect if he hadn't hit Joey Gallo with a pitch. 10 K's. 90 pitches.
