I'm a bit curious about the process behind these tweets being dug up.

Like someone is sitting at home saying, "Wow, Newcomb has a no-hitter going. I better check his entire Twitter history and make sure he's not a racist."

I’m not sure why we need to rush to defend these players. If they’ve truly changed, then they get blank slate and start again. I’m not sure why I need to give them the benefit of the doubt or give them a standing freaking ovation.

Not sure how old you are, but did you by any chance collect baseball cards growing up?

Because I actually find it weird that a baseball fan would think it’s weird that another baseball fan might read a player’s entire twitter history.

It strikes me as, like, the most obvious thing in the world for a baseball fan to do. I mean, unless the guy sucks or something.
