Edwin Jackson, who I had no idea was still starting games in the bigs, is through six innings against SF. He just closed the sixth by blowing 97 MPH cheese by Posey, he is only at 72 pitches.

Edit: Looks like Miami released him in June, and this is his first start of the season. He was rocking a 7.11 ERA in the PCL before being called up for this, so yeah, I'm not the only one who is surprised presumably.

Well, the PCL is a hitters league. :)

So that ended abruptly and unusually: strikeout, error on a comebacker, walk, booming 3 run HR.

How much must it suck to take a no hitter that vicious into the eighth and promptly lose it to Desmond Jennings, with his .200 avg?

Edit: Though not too discouraging, as he gets the next three in a row including 2 more Ks.

Bundy has a NO-HITTER going through 5 in BAL against the Rangers no less.

Actually, he had a perfect game through 5 1/3 in his previous start, so it's all the more impressive.

Obviously, he plays for a rival, but it's hard not to root for the guy after all the injuries he's been through.

Well, made it 5 2/3 today. At this pace he should have that perfect game in just 10 more starts.

Max Scherzer was perfect through 4 2/3 against CLE tonight, walked Naquin, then got Almonte to pop up, so he's got a no-no through 5, 68 pitches.

Henderson, NV
And the Grandy man ends it as the first batter in the 7th.

And now Cespedes follows with a HR and Sammy trails 2-0.

Matt Moore through 7 against the Dodgers, it's on MLBN. He's at 95 pitches.

His high pitch count for the year is 114, he's up to 107, still no one out in the 8th.

Interesting that Righetti is in the dugout. Didn't he toss a no-no against the Sox? How many pitches did he throw in that game?

Gets the second out on a comebacker, two outs in the 8th, 116 pitches.

If I'm Bochy and Moore says he feels ok, I tell him to go out there and do nothing but throw fastballs for strikes, and see what happens. No nibbling, no breaking balls and strain on the arm, just pitch to contact and hope for the best.

Vin Scully tells us that the high pitch count for anyone this year is 124.
