Yup, he did.  I just found it in this thread.  He broke up Chris Heston's perfect game through around 6 innings (his second no hit bid of the year).

So you are saying that the only time Melvin gets hits is when he is breaking up perfect games for SF Giants pitchers?

The remarkable thing is that CC nearly matched Ramirez and will have nothing to show for his effort.

Something perfect happening in Chicago. Tiger's starter Daniel Norris perfect through 5 and got pulled on a pitch count.  Farmer in for the sixth and continues the perfecto.

Through 8 now...24 up and down. Krol in the 7th and Verhagen in the 8th.  Who?  Doesn't matter.  Not sure who will come out for the 9th.

Arrieta through 6 now in Chicago on ESPN Sunday night game. Still perfect and looks untouchable.

As the dude on MLB network just said, Scherzer is currently taking the game by the throat.

No hits, no walks, 12 Ks through seven.

Have I said recently how much I really, really wanted the Sox to sign this guy last offseason?

Nats/Mets set a new MLB record for combined strikeouts in a 9-inning game.

Old records:
AL - Texas (18) vs Seattle (13) - 31 - July 13, 1997
NL - Houston (20) vs Chicago (10) - 30 - June 6, 1998

Scherzer has 15 and Mets pitchers have 17 = 32!

“@MLB_PR: Scherzer is the first pitcher since Nolan Ryan in 1973 (Angels) to throw two no-hitters in one regular season.”

How does a team with this guy heading the rotation that also has Steven Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez, and Jordan Zimmermann not run rampant on the NL?

Naturally, that might be the most damning piece of evidence against Matt Williams: this team has way too much talent to be .500.

104 Max Scherzer 10/3/15
102 Clayton Kershaw 6/18/04”
