5.1??!!!! Are you serious?
Bailey's a well-hung dude.

Trying to top 49ers fellow rookie Mitch Wishnowsky's shirtless 5.26s boomer earlier in the week? For context, of what this number means, although it has issues regarding field position, the top five individual punts for 2017 by hang time according to PFF: 5.55 (Chris Jones), 5.47 (Justin Vogel), 5.45 (Matt Haack), 5.41 (tie between Marquette King and Bryan Anger).

I'd like to see them start Stidham in Week 4. You know what you (don't) have in Hoyer. Seems like he makes a lot quicker decisions (both progressions and throws) than he did at Auburn. Then again, playing in the Wing T Gus Malzahn's system is didn't play to his strengths, so that helps to be in a rather contrasting Perkins-Erhardt.

And then that happens, just to make me look like an idiot. Oh, come on.

I think he will start Week 4. Usually the #3 QB starts along with most others else who most likely won’t be around after.

Kind of want them to put Myers under glass for the rest of preseason.

Zolak brings up an important point about holding the ball in the proper spot. If memory serves, Ghost is fairly typical in this regard, a little bit back, closer to the left hash overall. Interesting he missed left in light of the relative hold (to the norm) position. Not the best and most fluid follow-through, not really enough pressure to justify that. I know without a doubt Stephen can and will do better.

Here
Yeah. There is a weird nuance to a running play where the player is already in bounds. It's come up before. It doesn't always have to be inside the pylon. Someone on here explained it once.

Edit - I don't have DVR on the stream, but if the runner is sent airborne by someone's hit he gets the benefit of the extended goal line.

If he jumps on his own accord, then he gets forward progress from where the ball went out of bounds.

Question is did he jump on his own volition or was he hit into the air?
Thanks for this.

It’s almost as if they don’t care about winning an exhibition game.
Well said. The real victory is getting actual tape on your players, seeing what they can do in a given formation, or against that of an opponent. I'd rather see them lose tonight and see a bunch of tangible, repeatable development from unexpected sources than a victory where the usual, known quantity guys lead the charge.

22 penalties tonight, yikes. Only 15 games across the league last season with that many combined including the postseason, none of them involving the Patriots, with a season-high of 19 combined in the Meadowlands.

3 Up:
Chase Winovich: kid has such a high motor and can play all over the field. Find a way to get him on the field and make plays.
Damien Harris: strong runner who is patient and can also catch the football. Going to be very excited to see how he progresses.
Isaiah Wynn: another step in the process of getting back to being a starter. Liked what I saw.

3 Down
Hjalte Froholdt/James Ferentz: too many penalties.
Obi Melifonwu: got beat across his face by a TE for a touchdown. That can't happen if he wants playing time.
Mike Pennel: For someone who signed a significant contract in the offseason and also coming off a great year with the Jets, he is playing with the backups. What the heck is going on?
