Did Al Horford test positive for COVID, or is it a case of proximity to somebody else who did?

It doesn't look like there will be a minutes crunch for quite a while yet.

edit: I see from the Jaylen Brown thread that Horford has tested positive and is in quarantine.

With two players already positive for Covid it will be interesting to see if it spreads further.

Pritchard looks like the best player out there, but that's not saying terribly much.

Pritchard seems to have made some strides in his mid-range game, recognizing blue sky.

Yeah, I got a kick out of that too ... "things you don't often hear during an NBA game broadcast."

Separately, I don't mind watching the Celts deep bench, but this feels like mostly a bunch of guys who won't come near an NBA team again.

Nesmith is lighting it up. He's really expanded his offensive repertoire.

Thanks for posting. I missed the game. I know it's just a preseason game but between his performance last night and also in summer league I'm encouraged by Nesmith's growth. I recognize that the skill level and defensive intensity he is going up against in preseason and summer league is well below what he will see on a night to night basis this coming season however he had a decent showing in game four against the Nets in last year's playoffs as well. Aaron Nesmith has performed better in the opportunities he has been given than Romeo Langford. I'm hopeful they can both make meaningful contributions to the team this season.

PP with a broken nose. Ouch. He is on his way back to Boston and it appears his preseason is over.
