All this talk of the SCUM challenging is silliness.  Their squad is worse than the title winning squad, and this Dutch asshole isn't a magician like Whiskey Nose was.  I hope they enjoy many games of Danny Wellbeck leading the line at the English Toilet.

Chelsea get most first place votes, then City, Dion Dublin thinks Utd will win the league.  Even Phil Neville only has em down for second. Over thirty names on the list, no one has Spurs or Everton to make the top 4.

Not sure where else to post this, but is the BPL off the weekend of March 28? Anyone know why? I'll be in London that weekend and goddammit it doesn't look like there are any games.

FIFA international weekend.

International friendlies are often played in London involving countries that have a lot of European-based players (e.g., Argentina), so you might be able to get a decent match anyway.

California. Duh.
I've been in London during international weekends before, it's only the Premier League and Championship that are off.  There are still games going on in League One and League Two.

I'm not going to pick until the transfer window closes.  If Arsenal add a holding midfielder, or United add a midfielfer, or Liverpool add a legit scoring threat, it could change things around.

Why would it be too late? Only 7% of the season has been played. That couldn't possibly give you (and other late entrants) an advantage. (insert winking emoticon here, indicating the jokey nature of the response is not serious)

I'll say Chelsea wins it.  They added 2 huge additions to an already complete squad that shouldn't take too much time to fit in.  Mourinho coaching them means they can sit back against bigger teams and absorb pressure while waiting to nick one late in the game, and now with Cesc, Costa, and the continued brilliance of Hazard they have the fire power to put 3 or 4 past a Villa away in January.

Manchester City to finish second.  Jovetic, Aguero and Dzeko will all be kept happy by the number of games City will play this year.  The Kompany reports are a worry and even though he's proved me wrong a few times, I don't think Demichelis has much left in the tank.  Mangala, if everything I've read is accurate, could be a beast but if Kompany isn't 100% they could start to leak goals.

MANCHESTER FUCKING UNITED TO FINISH THIRD.  Yes, I'm biased...but I just think now the squad is too good to not make Champions League.  If Van Gaal is as clever as he thinks he is, he'll find a formation to get at least 4 of Rooney, Mata. RVP, Falcao, and Di Maria playing.  I'm not ready to right off the defense yet as 3 of the potential starters haven't even played a match yet and Blind or a healthy Carrick in front of them should see less and less frantic plays.

Liverpool to finish 4th and Arsenal 5th.  I worry about Arsenal's defense and their ability to score away from the Emirates.  If Balotelli is productive, Liverpool could finish as high as second but thats a big if.  Sterling is obviously a star in the making and Sturridge should have another great season but I'm looking forward to seeing Coutinho pull the strings.

Everton and Tottenham to finish 6th and 7th.  I get the Everton love and don't think there is any shame in putting them here.  Once Barkley gets healthy they'll be in really good shape and I do like Eto'o (even if he is 60) but its very tough to pip the teams above.  Spurs will finish 7th with 6 very good teams ahead of them.  They'll beat City at home, draw with Arsenal away, then lose to QPR.

Check out Zomp! Bravely spitting in the face of the first three games where ManU has looked closer to Burnley than Chelsea.

I don't see how anyone that has watched Leicester play is picking them for relegation.

Of course what the fuck do I know?

Unfortunately, even with the early struggles, I find it hard to see United missing out on top 4 with that attack.  United's midfield and defense is still a mess, but you can say the same thing about Liverpool last season but they were able to ride their attack much the same way United likely will this season.  Di Maria in particular will open matches up and Falcao now gives them some protection against RvP's inevitable injury.  I think it was a pretty silly way to go about it, but they'll probably achieve their goals of getting back into the CL at this point.

I think you guys are great. Everton are currently only out of the bottom three on GD, but y'all pick them for fourth. Suckers.

I would change my everton in 4th pick if I could (and Barkley as YPOY obviously)...I thought it would take some good breaks for them to get there, but they've had the opposite.

I'd put 'Pool there now.

Speaking of, I read yesterday that Man U spent more on Di Maria than Burnley has on all their transfers in their entire history as one of the original Football League clubs.
