Stones has had a very poor match.
He's not a right back. Same thing happened in the Anfield derby last year. His future is at center back, he just feels more comfortable there it seems.

As a newbie to club football, seems like they're really beating the hell out of each other more than the national teams did.

Is that a club football thing generally, an EPL thing specifically, or just this Aresnal/Crystal Palace game? Lots more wrestling than I remember in the World Cup.

Premier league is generally very physical compared to other leagues.

Debuchy is a big downgrade for Arsenal IMO. He hasn't looked good in their high possession game

If dribbling into the middle of the field and getting dispossessed were the object of the game, Gunners would be kicking ass.

The list of people playing like dogshit for Arsenal, is much longer than the ones that are playing well.

It does feel like something jammy is coming

Edit: Chamakh must have had to change hairspray brands on his lower wage CP contract. He's got a Mohawk with bald spots right now

Not at all, Debuchy looked solid going forward. Maybe not as consistent in his overall game as Sagna but he looked fine.

Probably someone who will post from the game and lives in his mother's basement. LOL!

Entertaining high intensity game. I'm impressed by Soton - I was afraid they were just going to roll over. No way this team is getting relegated, like some claim.
Come on.

Cardiff beat Man City last year in the 2nd game. One half of inspired play means shit all when you don't have a lot of talent on the team.

I don't think they are going down either, but that's because there are worse teams out there. But they aren't safe from the drop at all.

Just wait until France 16 when it's either him or Chris Foy being the English team.

Is this being played at Anfield? Sure doesn't sound like it.

During the first few minutes of the game, I heard "When the Saints Go Marching In" being sung over YNWA, and a "Is this a library?" chant. I don't know if I've ever heard Anfield this quiet to be honest.

Really can't let Sterling be winning headers in your box.

It's too bad because Southampton has played some quality football today.

California. Duh.
Nice job FINALLY keeping some possession to see it out.

Great gave by Southampton. They probably deserved a point, but I'll take the 3 for the Reds.

Indeed. They took the air out of the ball extremely well.

Meh. They have a lot of talent left compared to other lower table sides. Is there a zero percent chance they get relegated? Of course not. Has their disarray been exaggerated? Definitely.
