The Patriots are 7 point underdogs at home which is the largest point spread for a visiting opponent in Foxboro since the Rams in 2001.

I feel like the Ravens are a terrible matchup for this incarnation of the Pats, but are very beatable. Active Gilmore + Cam of the last 6 quarters gives me some hope. At the very least, excited that Meyers and Harris seem to be building blocks worth watching - I can get up for watching a bad team if there's some legitimate development for next year at stake, and for the first time this year it seems there actually might be.

This team is going to get abused on defense. Might be a very ugly game. But then again, they played Seattle and KC tough so who knows.

There might be some issues in Baltimore though
Today on Rich Eisen’s show, Lamar said opposing defenses are calling out the Ravens’ plays...
Article from USA Today

”We're going against defenses, they're calling out our plays. Stuff like that. They know what we're doing," Jackson said Wednesday on the Rich Eisen Show. "Sometimes, stuff won't go our way if they're beating us to the punch."

Sure but do we know who will be back? Guy? Butler? I know people are down on Bentley but I believe he wears the green dot – so having the quarterback back there seems like it would be a pretty big deal.

Gilmore coming back (tweet notwithstanding) would also help.

They have to start fast and play from ahead. They can not get behind against the Ravens because the way the 2 teams play there won’t be many possessions. I literally have no idea how they’re going to stop the run. They can’t set any type of edge and the IDL can’t hold anybody up for others to tackle.

Not sure it’s a big deal if the player stinks. I’m sure Bentley has a good attitude and tries hard but he strikes me as a Jordan Richards type, a guy who just doesn’t have the physical attributes needed to succeed.

As for this game, I think we’ll get overwhelmed at the LOS even if we have everyone and I expect a lot of 2nd and 3 type situations. On the bright side, Lamar hasn’t been good this year so maybe he’ll sail a few throws or something.

Putting aside whether Bentley has the skills to be a successful MLB in the NFL--my guess is that he's better than we've seen tho I'm not sure how much--Jordan Richards never had the kind of responsibility Bentley has been given. Having a consistent player coordinating the front 7 is pretty important and it seemed like it wasn't a coincidence that they played as poorly on Monday without him.

Again, it's not about attitude -- but actually having a guy out there who knows where the other players are supposed to be on any given play. I'll be interested to see if he is slated to return this week.

#Ravens player has tested positive... Team says “there were no high-risk contacts, and no other player or staff member is required to isolate.”

Loneliest guy on the team, apparently
Sooo....they will go for 2 every TD?

I expect the Ravens will crush the Pats, regardless of which players we get back from being out recently. The offense rounding the turn last week is mitigated a bit by the putrid D they were up against.
