We can keep the discussion in the other thread, just vote--2 options. Pick one.

Those aren't uniforms; they're logos! Elvis has been on three iterations of Patriots uniforms now.

Feel like I need an option for Flying Elvis as primary with Pat Patriot as throwback for 2-3 games a year, in other words, what they're doing.

Then your vote is for Elvis. Guys, I think the aim of this poll is pretty straight-forward---do you want the reds or the blues.

Although what uniform they wear isn't a super big deal to me, I voted for the reds -- the fact that it was the British who wore red notwithstanding -- because they stand out better on TV and the current uniforms are so awful it's hard for me to believe that anyone in that organization finds them to be the most appealing option.

This also has me thinking: It'd be great if the area sports teams wore each others' uniforms on occasion. E.g., The Pats might wear a facsimile of the Bruins uniform, complete with black and gold colors, the spoked B on their helmet, and white and gold stripes around their black socks. I know that would never happen, but it'd be cool to see.

Elvis is the logo of winning. Pat Patriot is the logo of losers.
I love the Pat Patriot uniform, mostly because I grew up with it and it is just nicer looking. But the fan in me, remembers all the shitty losses, tribulations, and bad ownership, so long live Elvis!

How about a new one? The Flying Elvis is dumb as shit... winning or losing, it's one of the worst looking logos out there. I love the Pat Patriot and most of the other teams uniforms from that era, but it does bring up Tony Eason, etc... and a pre-Parcels losing era. Just start a new one.

I like the Pat Patriot logo because I'm in my late 40s and nostalgia is my drug of choice today. But the Elvis logo is better. Just from a design standpoint it's a cleaner logo. It can be scaled easier, which I know doesn't matter too much to us non designer types, but have you ever seen a small Pat Patriot logo? It looks like red and blue vomit on a white helmet. The Elvis logo invokes decades of winning, while the Pat Patriot one just reminds me of hoping that 20,000 people are going to schlep to Foxborough and watch Hugh Millen lose has clavicle so I can watch from my house and not worry about blackout rules.

For the most part, the Pats of the 70s and 80s were an absolute laughingstock, I'm not sure why we need to go back there.

BTW, the uniform the team wore for most of this century was almost perfect. They just had to remove those needless dark blue side panels on the jersey and keep it one color and it would have been excellent.

Edit: you know what helmet I thought was cool (though I was far too young to see it), the tricorner cap with the number below it. That was a clean look and is one that I'd like to see make a comeback. Paul Lukas talked about it today on his UniWatch blog.

Those look like USFL jerseys at best... and more like pee wee jerseys at worst. It is hard to believe professional athletes actually wore those as game jerseys.

TBH, I was a little confused by the question at first. If it's referring to the current iteration of uniforms, then it's Pat Patriot by a mile. If we are talking Brady-era uniforms, my answer would be different, but the current Elvis unis are horrific.

Surprised by the results. When I was a kid, I didn’t realize Pat Patriot was a logo; I thought it was a rendition of Tony Eason’s face (and would be replaced by the next QB when it came to that.)

Flying Elvis looks like a generic NFL logo. No personality, no attitude, blah.

Pat is distinctive and has a certain je ne sais quoi, but it looks real nice on a helmet.

As for it being for losers, there were some pretty good Pat teams in the 60s and 70s and if not for Ben Dreith...

I prefer red jerseys, white pants, white helmet, and the Pat the Patriot logo.
I don't hate the Flying Elvis, but I dislike the silver helmets and when they wear the blue pants with the blue jerseys.

The Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates all wear black and yellow. I always thought it was pretty cool that Pittsburgh has all their teams color coordinated.

I find it surprising how many people hate the current uniforms. There are some details I don’t love, but in general I think they’re the best Elvis-era jerseys for the most part.

This is the first ever expression of support for the current ones I've ever heard. The home ones in particular are awful.

I really like the home shoulder stripes and I especially appreciate that the jerseys have 0 silver, which was the worst feature of the worst Brady-era jerseys. The navy pants are bad and the red-navy-red shoulders on the aways are awful, but I think the home jerseys are great tbh (or at least as great as a variation on the last 20 years can look).

With that said, I much prefer the Pat Patriot uniforms and voted that way in the poll.

They actually have silver striping around the numbers, I believe.

I get the sentiment, but are the uniforms winning or losing games? The red ones look better and they are 100% Patriots. I don't see any reason not to use them.
Tom Brady had a winning percentage of about 77% as a patriot, which is about the same as his record in the throwback uniforms (7-2) so not much different. And going by Pythagorean percentage it’s probably a lot higher thanks to the 2009 Titans game. So likely nothing to do with the uniform and more to do with players and coaches etc.

It's interesting that the loudest voices in this thread are pro Flying Elvis, but the vote is lopsided for Pat the Patriot.

Count me in the Pat the Patriot camp. If it's good enough for Steve Grogan, it's good enough for me.

I get the hate for the current uniforms (not the previous Elvis ones just the current) I think they’d look WAY better with silver pants at home.

I vote go back to dynasty uniforms (Elvis)

I like the Elvis. It’s abstract, well-designed. It’s of its era but not an obviously amateurish production like Pat Patriot. I mean, I get the nostalgia, I really do.

I like the reds with the white helmet, but with the flying Elvis logo. I love Pat Patriot for memories of childhood and think it’s cool to bring him out for a few games a season, but Elvis was with us for the glory years.

I find the particular hue of blue they chose to be so bright that its grating, and it looks like they're wearing little boy pajamas on the field.
