This is an awesome thread of players wearing different numbers than we are used to.

I’m sure everyone knows the famous Michael Jordan #12 story. But there are a lot of other oddball pictures in here. McHale wearing 45, Bird wearing 8 & 52 practice celtics jerseys and a #45 Indiana pacers practice jersey at what looks like a basketball camp. Cowens wearing 43

deep inside Guido territory
On Nov. 1, 2007, Virginia Tech traveled to play Georgia Tech at Bobby Dodd Stadium, but there was a problem— a few Hokies' jerseys went missing.

Even though the teams were ACC rivals, the Yellow Jackets let the Hokies borrow a few white jerseys with handwritten name plates on the back.

The Hokies with borrowed jerseys also marked out "Georgia Tech"on the front with a black marker.

Didn't Jordan wear 45 for awhile or was that Kobe?

edit: Kobe was 8 and 24. Jordan was 23, 45 and 12.
