Yeah 93 and 94 weren't on the shoulder pads, but those unis were ugly. 95-99 were the soccer style striping, but had the big Elvis on the pads. Then 2000 were the new unis.Nope, they added those over the course of the 90s. When they debuted in '93 the Elvis was on the sleeve, and the numbers were red (which made them somewhat illegible).

I think they added the HUGE Elvis's on the shoulders in '95, and made them much smaller in '98?
I thought they reduced the size of the shoulder Elvii at some point, but I must be wrong. My bad!Yeah 93 and 94 weren't on the shoulder pads, but those unis were ugly. 95-99 were the soccer style striping, but had the big Elvis on the pads. Then 2000 were the new unis.
93 and 94 were distinctly different (and worse) than 95-99. I mean look at the picture you posted. That's such an ugly uniform. The number colors on the jersey and shoulders don't match. There are so many issues.
yup, the white helmet is sneaky the best part. I’m also really partial to the shade of blue in the pat patriot uniforms, but the blue version of that Brady photoshop also looks really good.I make this point pretty much 2x a year when we start the old Pat Patriot vs Flying Elvis fight. It's not necessarily the Flying Elvis that I hate, it's the silver fucking helmet. Seriously consider these photoshops and tell me they're not 100% better than the silver helmet:
Absolutely yes. Also, I think the white-red-white shoulder striping on the blue jersey looks so much better than the current red-white-red.I make this point pretty much 2x a year when we start the old Pat Patriot vs Flying Elvis fight. That one on the left is excellent, I'd sign up for that as a primary uniform. Although I'd put Pat back on the helmet so it looks less like the Bills.I make this point pretty much 2x a year when we start the old Pat Patriot vs Flying Elvis fight. the 94 jersey was way better than the 93 and they changed from red numbers to white. I have an authentic apex one Bledsoe. I like that one better than the 95-99 version.Yeah 93 and 94 weren't on the shoulder pads, but those unis were ugly. 95-99 were the soccer style striping, but had the big Elvis on the pads. Sign me up 1000% for the Edelman uniform for home games, white helmet with the flying Elvis, blue jersey, white pants, their current white jersey/blue pants on the road again with the white helmet and the flying Elvis and they'd be in business.I make this point pretty much 2x a year when we start the old Pat Patriot vs Flying Elvis fight. I think the rule might have actually changed in 21, but you have to submit new uniform requests like a year in advance, so the Pats weren't able to take advantage last year.Did anyone hear what happened to change the timeline and allow this to happen in 22? Prior to this week, my understanding was the helmet rule didn't change until 23.
Some teams aren’t able to roll out to ‘23 (Bucs and Eagles) because Nike didn’t have the original color palettes in their inventory weren’t able to obtain them in time for this season. Maybe some kind of copyright/trademark issue.Did anyone hear what happened to change the timeline and allow this to happen in 22? Also might have had too recent of a change. There is a buffer for how often a team is allowed to change completely/alterations. Forget what it is, but there is a minimum number of years required for uniform changes. Some teams aren’t able to roll out to ‘23 (Bucs and Eagles) because Nike didn’t have the original color palettes in their inventory weren’t able to obtain them in time for this season. The colors are from the American flag. Red white and blue. They are not American Revolution re-enactors. Realism is not relevant. The Red Sox do not always wear red socks, bears do not have a B on their chest, vikings were not purple, bison do not live in Buffalo.I like reds as an alternate only - I find the Patriots aren’t redcoats argument pretty logical - but it seems pretty clear the fanbase prefers Pat to Elvis. I think the team is due for a more significant shakeup than the last couple years of changes (though for the most part I actually really like the current primary jersey). I hope at some point they take a more hybrid approach to a redesign.
76 and 78 were the sleeve stripes. 85 was the shoulder stripe, which was a "back to the 60s" move; made when Ron Meyer took over. Those uniforms are gorgeous. Sure we had some bad seasons in them, but we also had some good ones as well (1976, ‘78, and ‘85 come to mind). And they have character. I don’t mind the current logo and unis, but they’re pretty soulless.
Shoulder stripe >>>>>> sleeve stripe76 and 78 were the sleeve stripes. 85 was the shoulder stripe, which was a "back to the 60s" move; made when Ron Meyer took over.
Definitely.Shoulder stripe >>>>>> sleeve stripe
They're bringing back the shoulder stripes must say something. They must be better sellers.Definitely.
I would like to see a comment from someone associated with the team as far as what logo sells better. Also, which jersies (the red ones up to now at least have diddlysquat to do with Pat Patriot).
And my favorite: LA's not really known for its lakes. The colors are from the American flag. Red white and blue. They are not American Revolution re-enactors. Realism is not relevant. As a resident of Minneapolis, this really grinds my gears. Dallas Stars too, to a lesser extent. Stop stealing our names! And my favorite: LA's not really known for its lakes.
At least the Stars have a connection to the Cowboys starAs a resident of Minneapolis, this really grinds my gears. Dallas Stars too, to a lesser extent. Stop stealing our names!
I thought I was going to like this solution the best, including the white version, but looking at it they feel too Bills-y.You can find lots of interesting designs when googling Patriots uniform concept or whatever. These would all be upgrades IMO while maintaining the current jerseys
Here's one with the current home jerseys, white helmet, white pants
I don’t totally disagree, but the redcoats quote is from Kraft I believe so I’ve talked myself into that viewpoint as a means to accepting it’s never gonna happen. The colors are from the American flag. Something’s a little off with these to me, I think something with the stripes, but everything here is damn close to what I’d like to see.You can find lots of interesting designs when googling Patriots uniform concept or whatever. These would all be upgrades IMO while maintaining the current jerseys

Here's the current unis but with gray pants (and if they brought back these pants, they'd look pretty good with the white jerseys too IMO)
Here's a spin on the current unis but adding white pants and red jerseys for alternate looks (and switching to a white helmet)
Yeah they’re not the exact current jerseys due to the stripes but you get the idea. I love them with the throwback pants.I don’t totally disagree, but the redcoats quote is from Kraft I believe so I’ve talked myself into that viewpoint as a means to accepting it’s never gonna happen.

scrolling through the full list of submissions to the uni watch contest, I really like this too:

Wow, I like everything about this; white helmet with a brand new logo, blue and white at home, all white on the road, then the alternates thrown in.This would never happen, but this combo of Pat Patriot and Elvis is kind of cool
It definitely looks like he's about to take a shit. This would never happen, but this combo of Pat Patriot and Elvis is kind of cool
Elvis about to take a shit.It definitely looks like he's about to take a shit.
If anyone has the skills to make this happen, I would love to see this. That one on the left is excellent, I'd sign up for that as a primary uniform. Although I'd put Pat back on the helmet so it looks less like the Bills.
Yeah just swap out the football for a PB and nanner samich and park a bowl under his ass already.Elvis about to take a shit.
Man the irony.
I like the Pat Patriot/flying Elvis mash up on the logo, we get the best of both worlds.Yeah just swap out the football for a PB and nanner samich and park a bowl under his ass already.
I agree. It is a terrific look that shows up crisply on the TV.I wish we could keep Pat Patriot forever and fire Flying Elvis into the Sun.
