I agree with you. I enjoy watching Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar, etc. As long as they aren’t Big Ben or Watson types I say put your fandom aside and enjoy the show… unless they are playing the Pats, of course.

I find the GOAT arguments tired too. There are so many awesome things about this sport you can dig into and learn about or discuss. GOAT stuff is like junk food. Yeah sure it’s fun to snack on from time to time but it’s not really substantive.
So let's talk about coaches for a moment. Who would you rather have:

HC/offensive guru Andy Reid
OC Matt Nagy
DC Steve Spagnuolo

or

HC/defensive guru Bill Belichick
OC Charlie Weis (or Josh McDaniels)
DC Romeo Crennel

Throw in Dante and I'll take the BB team.

Otherwise I really have to ponder, which is not something I would've said three years ago.

The OC/DC thing can be thrown out I think. I think Bill is coming up with defensive game plans and I think Reid is running the offense.

Given:
Reid/Spags
Bill/McDaniels

Equivalent rosters…

If we are playing under today’s rule set, it’s really close about as close as you can get. Might even favor Reid/Spags

If we go prior to Manning crybaby rules, I’ll take BB.

With today's rules? Who is my QB? Do I have Mahomes if I choose Reid and Brady if I choose Pats?

This is tricky because I think Bill's ability to lead faded when he faced so much brain drain and retirement. Reid though hasn't had that issue and the game is geared towards offense. Is it peak Bill with all of his best people surrounding him? Peak Reid?

I trust you so much more than I trust me...so Peak vs Peak who do you have?

Probably BB because of the total package. At his peak he found so much hidden value as a GM and decision maker. But as HC's only? Flip a coin. I am happy with either.

Andy Reid wasn't as good of a coach as he was in 01-04 as he is now. He has gotten better at a lot of the details like game management, clock management, etc. He was still a damn good coach back then but he had a few flaws he doesn't have now. Made it to 4 championships games in a row. BB helped craft the defenses that he then commanded to success. Reid has crafted his offenses now to do the same. Brady also isn't necessarily a guy Reid would have preferred to play with. He has preferred guys who were a little more mobile for his WCO roots. Sorry, not trying to be difficult here but it's hard to think about the plug in this guy and what would change concept for me. Maybe I am just too far in the weeds with it.
