I think admitting to selling human beings has been problematic for about 160 years or so.
As for the term cash considerations, I think that's cover for a literal bag of balls.
I hope it's like Italian soccer, nobody ever pays anyone anything, just shuffle around cash considerations in an ever growing list of transactions (but maybe without all the tax fraud).
By my understanding, cash considerations means the receiving team is picking up the rest of the contract. Cash would be if the Mets were sending money the Red Sox' way.

I was always lead to believe it's litteral cash being sent from the receiving team in addition to picking up the contract. Everything I've found says that at least. If I'm wrong I'd definitely be curious what it actually means however haha
