opening .cdt files

I'm going through piles of old software from my folks' house, and they have both PrintMaster and PrintShop. I don't care about the programs, but there are also several CDs of art and photos. I'd like to see what all that stuff is, but it's not worth buying software I don't want to satisfy my curiosity.

Is there a not-too-much-hassle way of opening these .cdt files and seeing the images?

I had tried the CorelDraw trial, but was getting "I/O Error" on all the files.
I'll give the pdfconverter a whirl later on. Thanks!

Alas, the pdfconverter processes up to 100%, then starts over, gets to 100%, starts over, etc....
I've already spent more time than the graphics are worth, so I think that'll be the end of it.
