Getting rid of Bradley.
Wow yeah, I just checked Bradley's DRPMs from this year and last. Spoiler: it's not pretty.

I didn't realize he graded that badly, and I'm surprised more people didn't mention it at the time of the Morris trade, given how much people loved Crowder's advanced numbers.

Bradley is a short 2 guard whose best defensive attribute is one on one defense against the PG. but since he does not play PG himself, that means all of the lineups he plays in are going to be somewhat vertically challenged.

Modern NBA defense’s rely more on height and length and Bradley can’t help but hurt that.

Good point.
Among the many things to be praised about Danny’s 2017 offseason moves, finding a way to replace the defensive contributions of KO and Amir is easy to forget.
I think its partially because the defensive contributions of KO and Amir are easy to forget?

Amir's effort isn't in question but he was on the fifth consecutive (this is the sixth) season of decline in minutes, points, rebounds and looked like he was running on broken glass by the end of the season. KO's D was...interesting? He held ground against Cs and was in the right position often as well, but I don't know how much of the Stat appreciation is KO and how much is scheme. KOs rebounding was...what it was.

I am a fan of All Of Australia and believe the physical nature of his game will have extra 'impact' in the playoffs, so not taking anything away from his game, just think its a pretty low bar to clear.

After I read that advanced stats said KO was a good defender, I watched him with fresh eyes. As it turned out, the plus D was plain to see once you were looking for it. He doesn’t get his due because he moves a bit awkwardly (which costs him a foul call every now and then).

FWIW, it wasn't the awkwardness that blinded me, but rather my perception he was incapable of getting a contested rebound that kept me from being rational. Interestingly, another look at the advanced stats indicate he has improved across the board (not sure where they stabilize?) against last year. Doesn't do much for my theory that its Brad's scheme getting measured!

Bradley really needs to play for a team where the offense doesn’t run through the PG spot. Or at least with a PG big enough to guard twos. In Philly or Milwaukee he’d look fantastic as he could focus on hitting open shots and guarding PGs.

He’s just one of those unique guys that’s better either coming off the bench or starting for a very small number of teams (the Pacers would be another with the offense running through the 6’4” Oladipo).
