How does it work? What is expected of the players? Hopefully, they remember. Remember, Red Sox, and win.
I hope the Sox get a bunch of runs and I don't care how they get them!No unearned runs.
There'll be magic, there'll be fun.Finally. Red Sox baseball.
For the first time in forever.
Especially when we run run run! There'll be magic, there'll be fun.
Aren't the Reds a running team, also, or is that just one guy?Especially when we run run run!
They're *more* of a running team, leading all of MLB in stolen bases with 107. The Sox are 5th in MLB/1st in the AL with 76.Aren't the Reds a running team, also, or is that just one guy?
GEAUX, SOX!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m pretty certain that Cora doesn’t know about splits. So before his injury, Yoshida was facing almost no lefties. This is the second he's faced since he's been back, and Refsnyder is on the bench.
Refsnyder has to be banged up, right?I’m pretty certain that Cora doesn’t know about splits.
He'll probably be activated tomorrow when they face an RHP.Abreu saying he's ready to go.
You think he's hitting? How sweet.I protest this lineup.
I'm profoundly upset by guy hitting 7th.
So then why are you summoning him back? The sox have been on quite the winning streak since @E5 Yaz went on vacation.
I was setting a trap.So then why are you summoning him back?
I feel like I need to rememorize who is on the team.Finally. Red Sox baseball.
For the first time in forever.
He mentioned de la Cruz, MLB leader in steals.Youkilis gets to visit his folks and get paid for it!
He and OB mentioned the Runnin' Sox. Wonder if they'll point out that the Reds are runners, too. (see post by @Red(s)HawksFan above)
I enjoyed the hell out this post. Thanks for the contribution, BFiC!My quick scouting report from the Queen City. Mind you, the only statistics I really understand were on the backs of baseball cards from the 70's, when an interleague game between the Sox and Reds would have featured a Jim Rice at 46/139 vs. George Foster at 40/120 fresh off the heels of a 52/149 in 1977. Alas, this current version is far from the Big Red Machine, in every aspect save the complete lack of complete games, or any starter wandering near the end of the 6th inning. The Reds swing a lot, and miss a lot. Candalario leads the team with a robust .251 batting average. Also, team savant, Elly De La Cruz, brings a lot to the table with both sides of the plate power, which is primarily used this season to generate wind and not much contact. He also takes a lot off the table, witness his 3 errors last week. And if the Sox are within 2 runs after the 6th inning, I would go ahead and put an in-game bet on them to win, as no lead is safe with the Reds bullpen.
I would love for the Reds to make the playoffs. Cincy is basically a small town and sports lift the mood of everyone. But given the relative positions of Cincy and Boston on the wild card front, I can only root for a Red Sox sweep and a wait until next year for the Reds.
Go Sox!
does Costanza have then wearing cotton too?Over 90 degrees out and the Reds are in all black? Doesn't seem wise.
More and more, with each passing series I find myself appreciating the Sox City Connects unis.Over 90 degrees out and the Reds are in all black? Doesn't seem wise.
I'm not, NESN is. Every game it seems there is either an audio glitch, a video glitch or both.Y'all having sound problems?
Yes. Also on mlbtv. Started with picture going out. Was expecting Obie to say “I’ll tell you what, we’re having an earthquake”Y'all having sound problems?
