My wife might be looking for a change soon. She is trained in about 6 or 7 Epic modules at this point, and while she makes good money, it is definitely on the lower end for her level at a NYC metro area hospital.
But her background is not IT. She was basically plucked from a low-level job more on the patient/admin side to become an Epic trainer and now analyst, so she definitely needed to build up some years on the job before it made sense to start looking around. Her supervisor just quit and it seems like a “hell breaking loose” situation. And she is not interested in pursuing that opening and the 12 hour days that seem to come with it (hence the quitting).
