Judge may or may not be at the Winter Meetings tomorrow. New York may or may not be surprised he is coming.

The guy has everyone saying different things while he hangs out at the Bucs game with his buddies.
The local sports radio station out here was abuzz on Sunday because Judge was at the Niners game in a Rice throwback jersey. One host hoped he would announce signing with the Giants at halftime of the game.

This made seeing Judge wandering around in a Bucs uni last night particularly funny.

Does this take them out of the running for Rodon?
Not sure they were genuinely in that still, but they do have a full rotation now.

Yankees, Dodgers, and Astros now all not committed to winning.

On the one hand, Heyman didn't say he had incorrect information, he said he jumped the gun. Semantics, of course, but it could be that he heard from his "source" but that he wasn't supposed to let it slip until Judge makes it to San Diego.

On the other hand, Heyman's an idiot ... so all bets are off

meh ... at least he owned up to it rather than just deflecting

This might be plausible if his initial tweet was not such a huge surprise.

I mean, Aaron Judge is going to sign with the Yankees. I think everyone knows this. Everyone has always known this, no matter how much they may get distracted by this or that.

So while it's theoretically possible that Heyman was premature but ultimately will be correct -- Occam's razor. He was incorrect or got played.

This is from a parody account, btw
The article itself is legitimate and in this case I'm fairly confident that the (parody) in the account name is being used ironically. It's been retweeted by other folks who have been plugged into year-to-year studies on the baseballs such as Eno Sarris of The Athletic.

My guess is that Boras got sick of Judge’s decision holding up Correa and Rodon, his two biggest FAs, and told Heyman that.

Bellinger to the Cubs
For essentially the QO, 17.5m. Not sure I see the value there for the Cubs, they're relying on more than just a small bounce back for him to be good value, and even if he does bounce back then they either need to pay even more or lose him in a year.

Well, if he bounces back, it helps the team, right? If not, they are done with him. Would have been ok with giving him a shot in RF for the Sox, but hopefully this means Haniger is coming?

They've got the money to spend and if it doesn't work out, it comes off the books next year. And if he does have a big bounce back, either he helps them push for the playoffs or they have a nice trade chip.

Depends how much he bounces back, he can be better than last year and still not worth 17.5m.

Is there any hit chart that shows Judge's HRs if he played in SF?
With or without MLB's assistance with special baseballs?

Actual answer, Statcast does have an "Expected Home Runs by Park" section on their player pages. For Judge in 2022, they have him at 61 homers in San Fran. And just for fun, they had him at 73 if he was playing in Coors or Cincy.

I knew the info was out there. Thanks!
