If Waters accepts the 2 way, he can't be poached. Another team can't just offer him an NBA contract without trading for him.
I'd think Ainge worked out with Waters agent that part of the deal picking him was he'd at a minimum accept a 2-way from Boston.
But just guessing here.
What's the deal with Strus? Is he guaranteed one of the two available 2-WAY contracts? Rescind that shit and sign the Tacko Man!

He will go to Maine and get some better post moves - that should be fine with everyone. I have a feeling he would get utterly decimated vs real NBA players via switches and being out of position defensively.
I hope your right about Maine. Sherrod Blakely was just on local TV saying he thinks Fall will make an NBA roster, just not Boston's.
The problem is that he is a very specialized type of player. Its hard to justify carrying a player who really is only good for very specific situations.

Celtics snapchat had the cs tossing a football around a couple days ago. Not surprisingly a ball looks silly in his hand, i think he said he's never thrown one.
They are going to play both PG, Sexton and Garland, together? Is one of them a great shooter? Can they play without the ball?
Ray looks worse tonight but I bet we see that guy sopping up bench PG minutes over the next few seasons for someone. He has a bit of Ish Smith to him.
Can Wanamaker be traded now, or do we have to wait until December? He was on the team last year, so I think we can move him. Get him and Yabu in a deal to open up roster spots for Dirty Waters and Tacko Time!
