So.. is Buffalo ... good?
They are better but there are still some concerns. They aren’t great at 5x5, 48% or lower in attempts, shots, chances but they are out scoring teams 27-19. Their expected goals for at even strength 47%, but they’re at 58% which isn’t sustainable. The goaltending and power play have also been hot.

They aren’t as bad as they were last year but I also think there is some smoke and mirrors to their start.

Tampa down 3-1 with a little bit left on Adam Fox’s first NHL goal.

It’s early...but Tampa better be careful not to fall too far behind the division race.

Yeah, some people refer to the play as the “Michigan goal.” I can’t remember who it was, but it was a Michigan player who first did it.

It’s actually pretty wild that Svechnikov did it last night. The internet was melting down yesterday afternoon because Canucks prospect Nils Hoglander pulled it off in a European game. Hoglander’s is more impressive because it featured a self pass off the back of the net.

That’s legitimately one of the best goals I’ve ever seen. You have to watch it slow mo to realize what he did then you have to watch it full speed to realize how fast he was going when he did it.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone pull that move out THAT far out from the net. Usually it’s in close like the Pasta goal last week.
