would anyone be surprised if hte Cubs feel the pressure, lose a close game and then Bumgarner does it again, and they play tight in game 4 and lose the series?

I mean the Cubs deserve to be 60%+ favorites but it is so easy to construct scenarios where the Giants' "savvy" or some bullshit gets it done again
Real easy.

Would anyone believe me if I thought to myself pre-game that Gillaspie is the exact kind of random schmuck who would win the game for SF?
I would. There's been all kinds of discussion of who "this year's Travis Ishikawa" would be. We may have found it.

Bumgarner contract:

3/$35m next 3 years. So, he's making about a third of what he should.

I'm not sure what excites me more as a potential WS matchup for the Sox, putting an end to this even year bullshit or pissing on the hopes and dreams of the Cubs fans.

I have had my head in the sand with regard to MLB when the Sox are not contenders over the past several years... what makes him a dick?

He seems like Belichick when I hear him interviewed.
The rest of the country thinks Belichick is a dick

He is an ornery douche who routinely tussles with guys like Puig by talking shit at them. But I love that stuff and he backs his shit up. He is a beast.

MadBum actually made me like him a bit with that interview.
He's a man among boys.

The Cubs had better take care of business at home or else they get him in game 3............ and with their spectacular track record in the post season since 1908.................
