They need three 26 man spots, although Trivino has options while they get him right. Obviously Espinal DFAd and I guess German has to be traded, they are all of a sudden very thin in the AAA rotation, and Trivino to Scranton.

Saw a post on reddit from an Oakland fan that says Montas cannot travel to Toronto based on visa issues and has never been there in his career with the As.

That seems pretty easy to plan around if it's still an issue now, NY has one series left there this season, any possible playoff meeting wouldn't be more than two straight games in TOR, and then hopefully they can solve it in the winter if needed.

Beeter is a SP to replace one of the seven just traded, Fangraphs has him #16 on the LAD prospect list and it looks like he will slot in around there for NY too.

In The Quivering Forest
78k's in 52 innings.

23 years old.

I'll take that for Gallo. Let's see what Blake can do with him.

And as JA said, he just basically replaces one of the guys Cashman just shipped off yesterday.

Now bring up Florial and Peraza, bench IKF, DFA Marwin. That should sort out the position player side of things.

Man, I wanted Gallo to work out. He seems like a really good dude who was shit on by fans endlessly and who really wanted to play well for the club. Alas.

Yeah, I wanted NY to get him for years but he was just lost at the plate all season. I’m not so convinced Benintendi will be an upgrade but I think they had to try.

I really hope they are able to trade Andujar also. Dude did everything the team asked of him, including learning a new position. Time to reward him with some playing time in KC or something.

I don't really disagree with this, but Judge and Benintendi are both FAs this winter, so NY shouldn't just give him away until their 2023 OF picture is more set, I think.

Lopez controlled through 2024, it seems kind of crazy for NY to pull the trigger on what it would take there considering their rotation is always full, but In Cashman I Trust.

Bader for Rodon? I have never been this confused about Yankee transactions.

Bader? Huh. Low OBP. Right handed. Has a -2 DRS in CF this year but was +15 last year. Given that he plantar fricken fasciitis, I guess that shouldn't be a surprise. Controlled through next season.

I'm really not a fan of that one, no matter how vulnerable Monty has looked at times. But I'm sure the scouts and coaching staff have their reasons.

So, the rotation is:
Cole
Montas
Cortes
Taillon

Severino
German
Schmidt?

I don't understand trading Monty and if you do trade Monty, why for an injured centerfielder?

So, Bader can go onto the 60 day IL as he has been on the IL since June 27, and that saves NY a 40 man spot. Still really confused though.
