I know you guys are still reeling from the ecf but take solace in your 30392929 titles and illustrious history. Also, let your heart be warmed by the can of whoop ass Jokic is about to unleash on Miami

I have no idea how Miami will handle Denver's size. It's been overlooked all playoffs. Despite the boxscores some nights, mpj and gordon (especially) are such large bodies and run that they wear you down. This was an issue for KD and Lebron's old ass and now Jimmy and crew are supposed to handle them? I'm expecting Denver to live on the offensive glass.

If Miami tries to use the zone, Joker will eviscerate it (in the ways that the Celts were never able to do). Was listening to the Lowe post this morning — apparently, when Joker has faced a zone, the Nugget offense is good for 1.3 points per possession. He’s going to average a triple double, and there’s nothing anyone on the Heat can do about it.

Denver in 5.

Wouldn‘t shock me if Denver was a little off their game after all the time off while Miami’s hot shooting carried over into Game 1. If there is a game for Miami to steal, it’s tonight.

I might throw my TV out the window when Caleb Martin inevitably goes 1-6 from deep on the same looks he got Monday.
Add hall of famer Gabe Vincent to that as well.

I know it's "why they play the games" but i cant see the heat even bouncing back at home. The nuggets exercised a lot of road demons when they closed out the lakers on the road.

A Thursday > Sunday start seems less than ideal. Anyway, I'm actually looking forward to this matchup. I think it has a chance to be entertaining.

Hard to steal things when you’re sucking wind. Altitude will play a role. Think that counterbalances any rust on the Nugs.

Vincent is fine, he was insane from 3 but didn't do much else (he was basically just a really good roleplayer). Especially with an ankle injury, I'd forgive some regression. Martin played like an all-star (19 ppg and shot 60% from the field) and should've won MVP, if he turtles now, fuck that guy. 3 ECFs in 4 years against Miami and really the only player on that team that I hate is Lowry, but that list could grow depending on how the finals go.

This is the dream scenario for the Nuggets. They have obliterated Miami recently. The Heat may get a game at home, but think this one is over in 5 at most. We'll discover the limits of the Spo-vantage. And if Martin shoots as well as he did against us, I will be shocked.

where I was last at
I love the way the Heat play, tough and disciplined, nothing but respect for that. But I can't stand them as a reflection of Pat Riley.

That is if Riley had a reflection.
I do like Spo though.

Let's Go Nuggets

Is not what I was hoping for as my June mantra.

He really shouldn't have. Butler shot worse, but over the series he had 38 more points, 12 more steals, 8 more rebounds, 31 more assists, and attempted 46 more free throws. Martin played awesome - but Butler was definitely the MVP

Let’s go Nuggets. The silver lining of the Celts being bounced is that we can revel in, rather than be eviscerated by, Jokic’s artistry.

Sunday better be Philip Bailey or the Fray

I hope they’re not saving anyone for a game 7

Heat have no chance at stopping Denver. Only hope is to score a massive shitload of POINTZ

I like Butler a lot and respect the hell out of the culture that the Heat have built. Jokic is one of my favorite players too. Selfless superstars are awesome.

It's been a while since I'll be happy no matter who wins in the finals.

Martin trying to drive and just getting enveloped by Porter then missing an open midrange jumper….of course

Aaron Gordon is absolutely abusing Caleb Martin and Max Strus

Spo better try that zone quick because the paint is too easy with Joker pulling Bam to the top of the key

Maybe Celtics should have played the Time Lord and Al big lineup more. Heat can’t guard Gordon when Bam is tied up with Jokic.
