That team was much better. No stars, and maybe Jimmy is better than anyone on that team, but they're whole starting 5 was excellent.
Man, both teams holding their timeouts too. I guess that's the current NBA model.

It's a series. Fun game. I'm probably the only one, but I'm rooting for the Heat, just really admire their grit and guts. Plus if they win I'll feel better about the C's.
He was so bad in that fourth quarter. Just a complete defensive liability in every way. He was worse than that — he kept getting in his own teammates’ way and they would take fouls.
That was depressing. Miami got good games from almost every player. Outside of Jokic I can't name one Denver player who impressed me tonight. And yes, Jokic appears to be a terrible defensive player.

That team had the best defender/rebounder in the game, plus 2 future NBA head coaches as players. That roster was very long too. (Wingspan) A vice defensively. Plus had nice spot up shooters for its era

My guess is that in the playoffs, coaching plays a bigger role than during the season. A coaching staff devotes more time to scouting the opponent and scheming against them.
Spo clearly had them ready to play today against a D that is vulnerable. I also think he saw things towards the later parts of game 1 that gave him encouragement. This translates into more open looks and can also lead to higher % from three.

One thing about the extended series is that now the altitude factor won't be that important going forward, as both teams will be traveling and living in the same environments. Miami had 4-5 nights to acclimate before game 2 and I think that showed in the 4th.
