I've heard the Little East Conference is not far from cancelling the fall season. I believe UMass-Boston already has. Other schools involved are Keene State, Plymouth State, UMass-Dartmouth, Castleton, RIC, East and WestConn.
From email sent by Middlebury AD and President:Based on coaching for 6 plus years in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) I 100% agree. NESCAC seems to create the bar, NEWMAC follows suit, etc...and I believe a couple of those schools already have? As someone who knows a few seniors still on the fall team I coached (tennis), I'm hoping they figure out a way to play all these sports in the fall on a reduced schedule.
edit/update: based on the statement I'm reading it specifically says "NESCAC conference competition..." So I'm wondering if that leaves room for fall teams to schedule competition outside of conference? Or even within the conference but just not sponsored by NESCAC?

I really don't know what the heck Babson is doing still holding out, but I think they'll cave and cancel fall sports when they realize they have no one to play. Also, Clark in Worcester is out. https://www.clarkathletics.com/general/2019-20/releases/20200713iom4t9
The NEWMAC seems to be going school-by-school, instead of a blanket conference announcement.
We're still on their fall schedule!I really don't know what the heck Babson is doing still holding out, but I think they'll cave and cancel fall sports when they realize they have no one to play.
They need to change their name to NE14.Northeast-10 (NCAA D-II) cancels the fall season.

Yep, which is another reason fall sports were moved. The border being closed was creating scheduling difficulties.fun fact: this conference includes a Canadian school- Simon Fraser U of Burnaby, BC
The Division 3 conference that included traditional powerhouse Mount Union and John Carroll University has postponed sports.Division II PacWest just postponed fall sports. So all three Division II conferences in the West have postponed.
UMass is looking for opponents.Anyone in New England other than BC and Uconn playing this fall?
sorry, must just be with kinds back on campus the CT is running storiesYeah that was announced on the 9th.
It’s the right decisionDivision II just followed suit. My fall sports coaches are pissed.
Absolutely. And I wish I could point out to them that they weren't going to the national tournament anyway, but whatever. It’s the right decision
It's not quite the right decision. It’s the right decision
Tough for D3 athletic departments to have multiple seasons going on at once with limited support staffs. It's not quite the right decision.
The fall championships won't be contested in the spring either. I think that's a mistake.
