The NBA actually tests players?
This is the problem with a young team without enough veteran leadership, no one taught him how to do the very, very little involved with beating the NBA’s testing protocols.

If you’re not following Rob “World Wide Wob” Perez on Twitter you are missing out on substantially enhancing your basketball and life experience. Last night he was all over Caldwell-Pope looking for his first points of the season and it was epic.

“KCP is due.” - KCP

KCP = Klutch Client Protection

......to name a few.

Somewhere
I was noticing in last night's game that Toronto seems to have a short rotation.

Well, they have only 9 players who have seen the floor this year, and one of them is Stanley Johnson (5 minutes).

Awesome as Siakam is, it's hard to see them lasting a whole season like this.

I think they played 7 (or maybe 8) on opening night. They have zero depth, no Kawhi, am aging/plump Lowry and a Championship hangover to overcome. Not a fan of this team long term once a couple rotation players go down for any length of time. This team is all Siakam.

Lowry is staying good longer than I thought he would with that frame though. Elite 3-point shooting is a helluva drug.

Did anyone else see Siakam as an outside MVP candidate last night? He was ridiculous, seems to be even better than last year.
(replying to the game thread)

He looks awesome; if the 3-point shooting is for real, it's a game-changer. He's also going to get to put up massive stats because of how thin Toronto is.

From a Celtics point of view, however, he scares me a lot less than Giannis, because he doesn't have that same physical force. Brown did a pretty good job on him when it came down to crunch-time matchups.

Gasol is running on fumes already. There's a lot to like with Siakam, Lowry, & VanVleet. But agree depth is an issue

An unafraid Ujiri may pull off a couple of deals to add some depth
