One of those games. That was tagged, and a little further left it's a game tying double in the gap.
We are not a playoff team and Sale and Whitlock will likely not change that. We may be an EXPANDED playoff team, but that barely counts.
The lack of power when Devers goes into a mini slump is obvious. JD and Bogaerts are hurting them.
Pathetic loss. Well-pitched and poorly played. Two rollers to third result in two runs. And our number 2 and 3 hitters staring at strike three with a man on third.
Sad. Tough to lose a series to a tanking team.

I love what bloom has done for the most part, but it blows my mind that we were so cheap in the pen and in right field. It’s cost us at least 5-10 wins!
I think our slumping hitters made him look pretty good. But I would take him if the Cubs were dumping salary.
When your big free agent signing is hotter than the sun for one week and utterly useless the rest of the time, that's the bigger problem.
I think they'll want a real return for him. He was hitting corners/bottom of the zone, but there is no room for error there. I also saw him roll a couple curves to X, and get smoked by Dugo. I could be wrong, but I certainly didn't see anything I'd give up much value for.
The last two Sox game I attended in Chicago, they Red Sox got shut out (2018 10-0 White Sox, though I can't complain with how that season turned out) and now whimpering across 1 god damned run.

Bogaerts line tonight was three scalded line drives for outs — one to each outfielder — and a walk. He had a tremendous game. (JD was rough.)
