Great game by Winckowski. Kid definitely looks like he belongs in the rotation so far this season.

Baseball is weird. Winckowski was just... pretty okay for most of his minor league career. Good, yes, but nothing that would make you think he would be anything more than a back end rotation type if all went well for him.

But his actual stuff looks like it plays at the major league level. Lots of movement, good velocity, induces plenty of weak contact. Is it as simple as minor league defenses being that much worse than the big leagues?

I'm convinced that his despicable manager, Michael Jeffery, murdered Jimi for the insurance money. Hendrix was worth more to him dead than alive, as Jimi was about to fire him. Here's a decent article on the subject:

Since scoring 3 runs in the 2nd inning yesterday, they've gone: 0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0. Against one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball.
