All Star Ross Stripling was left off the Dodgers' post-season roster, in favor of Ryan Madson and his 5.47 ERA/1.41 WHIP
Stripling had a bad second half, maybe because of a toe injury that put him on the DL at the end of July (maybe never healed). .306/.353/.613 was his slash against post ASG. Can’t blame Dave Roberts.

Madson included? Maybe the savvy old vet angle.

Seriously, what kind of deal with the devil has Muncy made? My God, dude has just been tearing the cover off the ball for months.

A gem for Ryu. Braves have their work cut out for them now, with Kershaw going tomorrow.

Also, Koufax looks amazing for 82. I'll have some of what he's drinking.

just checking in. it's 3-0 Dodgers to start the 7th, Machado hit a 2-R HR in the 1st.

Kershaw had only 60 pitches through 6. 60! that's insane.

I had no intention of coming here, but when I saw what Roberts was doing, I felt compelled.

Saving him for games when they are playing a true team (World Series, NL looks like the second division of a soccer league, well sort of).
when it works you look like a genius. But Jansen has been shaky all year and 10 more pitches wouldn't really make a difference.

that said, it does seem like some of the surprises of the NL are limping to the finish line and the Dodgers are really peaking after a tough regular season. 538 has them as staggering NL favorites right now.

Getting to see two Orioles castoffs today in Miley and Gausman be effective, go NL.

The Land of Fist Pumps
After battling for NL MVP in 2011 and all the ups and downs since then, interesting that we could see Matt Kemp for the Dodgers and Ryan Braun for the Brewers going against each other in the NLCS.

Can take Gausman out of Baltimore but can't take the Oriole out of Gausman.

I feel like Joc Pederson would absolutely out-Roethlisberger big Ben as well as Luke Voit in explaining a joke. The meathead is strong with him.
