Good for Beckett. Anyone else think he 's gonna be pushing 275 pounds at his Red Sox HOF induction?

I jog through Huckleberry or ride my bike up Snake or Broadway terrace almost daily. I came out to Cali on a postdoc to LLNL. Now I'm trying to start my own company. Still a very pretty area, although I might want to move back some place where it snows again. It snows here for 15 minutes every 2 years.

You can drive to snow (but you have to drive longer in the bay area). Huckleberry has great Douglas Iris patches, iirc.

I live in Canada and hate snow. Go figure. :unsure2:

Wow.  Beckett announces his retirement.  Good on him - he owes nobody in baseball anything.  Two rings and a big reason why both the Marlins and Sox won in '03 and '07 respectively.

Yep, we wouldn't have won 2007 without him, and we wouldn't have won 2013 without unloading him and Crawford in 2012

OK, Josh, 1 more time:

I'm surprised Desmond didn't completely lose it there.

He can't. He knows Harper is tying this shit up.

Man, I wish Harper went sans batting gloves.

The people at AT&T are all business guests and just don't understand baseball.  Not their normal crowd.  Kind of sad

More to the point, the cost of playoff tickets is such that most hardcore SF fans are watching at home.  Thats why the crowd Trupes during routine flyballs (basically any ball to the OF at AT&T) and thinks a foul ball is a K.  They aren't fans.  They are bandwagoneers

Dunno. Are you a local? I find the As games have better fans
I've lived here for 20 years.  There are good fans on both sides of the Bay.  The A's have more affordable tickets

I wish I was a bandwagoneer tonight and at this game.

To be fair, I don't think they saw the foul tip on that one.
