Lost in all the noise is the fact that Joe Panik might just be the savior to the Giants season.
He is a pain in the ass.

And we now, as in the first game, get to discuss weak pens.

You would not want to bring him in the middle of an inning, but I don't know what they are saving Strasburg for.

Jim Rice could have hit one into McC cove. Do you think Manny could have?
Manny is who immediately came to mind for me. I can imagine him being able to get one out there

This is your season and you didn't bring in your best reliever.

Matt Williams should get fired right around the same time as Mattingly tomorrow

Well get the FUCK OUT, my man! I live at the corner of skyline and snake. One side of my place drains to Thornhill, the other to Shepard Canyon!

It's a lovely part of the world, and a gardener's paradise (except in fire season). I lived on Cabrillo just below Snake, back when it was still eucalyptus wilds. I wrote most of my dissertation in Redwood Park; I probably couldn't have finished without it. Give my regards to the territory.

Sandoval is equally capable of whiffing, hitting a double, hitting one right at Desmond for a DP or getting a swinging bunt that somehow gets a run in and leaves everyone safe.  He's like a five true outcomes guy.  He won't walk though.  That much is  also true.

The Nats really don't have a righty who can turn Panda around?

Edit. I meant lefty. But it doesn't matter.
