Man, I hope the Cubs win tomorrow.  Then I can just sit back and enjoy baseball without worrying about a team I hate winning it all.

I know it didn't work for Gene Mauch and the 1964 Phillies down the stretch, trying to only start their two aces, Bunning and Short, but Jesus with the shit that the Dodgers have for starters after Kershaw and Greinke, Mattingly must roll it around in his thoughts every now and then.  Brett freaking Anderson?!  That's what you've got after your two high priced guys?

So Wrigley seemed to play like it was 250 to all fields today, 8 combined HRs in that one, with 5 or 6 at least off great pitchers. Good to see Arrieta can be human under these conditions at least, but I'd expect him to go back to 1986 Mike Scott level if the Cubs can close it out.

Anderson's done after 3 innings... let's see what the Mets can do off the Dodgers extended bullpen

Probably the right call, though could prove dangerous with Kershaw on short rest tomorrow...

Were Mets fans just chanting "Yankees Suck!"?  Because that would be awesome!  Taunting Mattingly, or just cuz?

Cherington made a lot of decisions that were defensible at the time but look really bad in retrospect
Also Billy Beane. All of the A's fans I know, and their kids, had Cespedes jerseys. He was really popular in Oakland.

I'm relatively impressed with Harvey's start (he's almost certainly done if they get to his spot in the order)... he clearly doesn't have his control tonight on basically any pitch, but somehow managed to give up only 3 runs (with 1 on Grandson), and really nothing was hit hard in the air (mostly all singles).

Colon to start the next inning is probably the better move here, we'll see what Terry does.

Any chance a Dodger gets plunked tonight? Because that would make tomorrow even better.

Terry Collins told Matt Harvey not to retaliate. You have to guess that goes for everyone else as well. Win tonight and win tomorrow. Win the World Series and hope the Dodgers open at Citi Field in 2016 and they have to eat it through a ring ceremony. Then you hit them.
