Who you got?

Washington, please ... I'm sick of the Carl Fredricksen Experience

Theo wins in the playoffs. Nationals never win. I think Cubs win but it would be awesome if the Nats got it done.

The Nationals have to break through eventually. That team is really good, won 97 games without Trea Turner for 2 months and Harper for about 6 weeks. Turner has been amazing since coming back from the DL as well. I think this is the year they finally make the NLCS

Nats fan here in NoVa; guardedly optimistic, with all this talent and nearly everyone healthy..

the Cubs are still good, but their rotation took a step back this year. To get two-hit at home... Nationals are just coming up small again.

Ummmm, isn't the baseline from where the runner starts? He was running straight at the bag.... or is it different because white line?

It's going to be interesting to see how their other starters do. Obviously Hendricks was huge tonight. Lester has had a shit year, Arrieta is hurting, and Quintana, who has been great of late, is young and inexperienced. I have no idea what will happen.

I can't figure out if the Nats are snakebitten or they're just chokers.
They are a mentally weak team and have been for this whole run since 2012. They've never recovered from the 6-0 blown lead and ninth inning melt down against the Cardinals in the 2012 NLDS game 5. As a Nats fan it's infuriating to say the least.

Plus, and I know this is a cliche, the fans are pathetic. I was at game 5 last yr and game 1 tonight and both times people sitting behind my son and I were telling us to sit down all game. Last year in an elimination game no less. And tonight we stood only when Nats pitchers got to 2 strikes. And still they were telling us to sit down.

Sorry for the rambling, just got back from the game and I'm venting. At least the several thousand Cub fans there weren't too obnoxious.

God help us, the season rests on the fragile psyche of Gio Gonzalez tomorrow.

Nats get a lead and proceed to give it up as quickly as possible, to the first hitter in the next inning. Love those Nats.

To echo Bob Lobel: Why can't we get pitchers like Jon Lester?

Last year and this year's playoffs have been excruciatingly painful for Sox fans.

Yesterday I commented on the need for a Jon Lester type pitcher and someone replied how terrible he has been this yea but tonight shows what I meant ie a pitcher who threw his best in the big games.

Man, being a Washington sports fan has to be absolutely agonizing. Great regular seasons, horrible playoffs, year after year.
Having lived here for almost 8 years now, I've never really met a diehard Nats fan... and I've been to several Nats games. Most, if not all, seem to be primary fans of another team and the Nats are like their second favorite team. This is a very transient region.

I mean every time I've attended a game, I walk up and buy ok tickets 10 minutes before the first pitch.

That makes sense. Given that this iteration only came to be in 2005, they're the first generation growing up as Nats fans.

The Caps post-seasons are just as bad. The combination--wow.
The Caps have had a bunch of dominant regular seasons and always flame out in the playoffs. They are definitely the most disappointing playoff team in DC.

so some pitchers have that "it" factor and others don't? old-school here.

Harper getting hot could be the difference-maker in this series.
