Meh. The Dodgers are historically anti-Yankees. Easy call for me.

I can't even imagine what Chicago would like right now if the Indians hadn't' generously gifted them game 7 last year.

It would be getting ugly.
that's not how I remember that game 7. Maddon tried to give it away, Indians just ran out of gas on the pitching front

Save some of these runs for against the MFY's please.
If the fucking Dodgers turn into fucking mollusks like the fucking Astros did I will be fucking livid. I may swear off baseball forever if that happens.

(Or if not forever at least until March 2018.)

Nah, you'll be back when they make Cora the manager, sign JD Martinez and trade for Stanton

Dr. Zimmerman is that you? My therapist says he's a Cleveland fan, but, fuck, man, I think you're him.

(By the way, I know proper grammar is "I think you're he," but I don't want to sound like a pedantic weenie in front of my internet friends. Can we discuss at our next session?)

Rajai Davis playing CF worse than your average HS centerfielder costing them 2 runs.

Chisenhall misplaying a routine single into letting Bryant score from 1st.

Napoli botching whst should've been an easy inning ending double play.

Not to mention a well rested Andrew Miller not throwing well either. And Kluber crapping the bed.

And Shaw....throwing 40 cutters in a row is stupid. jesus, maybe try one other pitch. Not to mention Ramirez took a false step and probably should've had Zobrists routine grounder there.

this feels like it must be the first time a team lost 10+ in a row in the regular season and still won the pennant.

mashable: For the record, the longest losing streak by a team that went on to win the World Series was nine by the 1953 Yankees. They lost nine consecutive games from June 21 - July 1. They eventually beat the Brooklyn Dodgers to win the World Series.

because he had to pitch on short rest a ton because they had no SP.

the rest, I admit, I haven't rewatched the game.
I probably never will.

It was a hideous game.

Maybe i'm a snob, but when people try to talk about how great that game was...I get sick.

Gimme a 2001 G7 every time. Except they actually get the Danny Bautista at 3B call correct. ;)

I’m surprised by how much I was rooting for the Dodgers. Lived in LA on and off now for almost 20 years and always had kind of “sure, OK” attitude about the Dodgers. But it’s pretty cool to see them in the Series. One drawback is my kid might be a Dodger
fan now.

PS seeing Dave Roberts on TV is just a bonus.

Koufax would be better

can save FV for 2.

Gibson goes 6 if it goes that far. And Scully for 7.
How does Hershiser not make your cut? Tough competition, I guess, but he was a monster in 1988, 42 postseason innings in 17 days (5 starts plus a one out save on no rest in the 12th) including complete games in his last three outings, a 1.05 ERA.

While it is an absolute necessity for YED to occur sometime this year, rooting for LAD kind of means rooting for an LA dynasty (they aren't build for one year). This could be a steep price (yes, I have no problem transferring Laker hate to Dodgers).

So despite the wisdom of DDB, I must keep rooting for the HFAstors

Clayton Kershaw deserves a WS win in his career. I am glad I have been able to see him pitch in his prime. I dont want him to retire without a ring.

Everyone on the Yankees can go fuck themselves.

I knew this was Phil Mushnick, antique idiot, before clicking on it. He has also written roughly 100 columns this year vomiting up words about how managers use too many relievers these days, it's insane that he still has a well paying job in 2017.
