If Duesning can limit any additional damage and the Cubs can play matchups against he Dodger pen and hit maybe one or two balls out, which wouldn't be unprecedented, and also Dave Roberts inexplicably decides to forfeit, the Cubs could pull this off.

Is GEICO the only company whose marketing strategy for several years running has been to annoy the living shit out of every potential customer?

How much hair dye do you think Maddon goes through in a season?

Nice couple innings by Duensing. About time the bullpen finally came around. If Montgomery can pitch his way out of this might be time to get excited.

I'm not saying I'm rooting for escalation with North Korea. I'm not. I am really not. I'm not like a sociopath or anything.

But if anyone has any better ideas that might halt or even just delay the Yankees and Dodgers playing in the World Series, I am totally listening.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Enrique Hernández is the 3rd player with multiple home runs, one being a grand slam, in a series-clinching game in MLB postseason history, joining Johnny Damon (2004 ALCS) and Troy O'Leary (1999 ALDS).

I can't even imagine what Chicago would like right now if the Indians hadn't' generously gifted them game 7 last year.

It would be getting ugly.
