Dahlbeck and a 1st to Arizona.

Sounds about right for Vermette, also thrilled the Bruins didn't pay that price

Yeesh that's a lot for Glencross, well done by Burke to get that much

edit: Glencross is a fine player, but he's in the Chris Kelly-realm of usefulness. Above-average third liner, can kill penalties, but can't play center.

Bob says Duclair and a 2016 1st round pick might be in there as well.

Seems like a massive overpay for Yandle.

Edit: Shedding Girardi's contract is a plus, but, yikes. Not sure I like it for NYR.

Yandle is a hell of a player though and he gives them a skill set that they could use.  Girardi is a good player but he has a huge contract and he is a little redundant with the players they have on the back end.  Duclair and a 1st in addition is a hefty price.  I'm not sure how I feel about it but I can see why the logic behind why they are pursuing it.

They also sent their 1st to TB in the St. Louis trade, so they won't pick in the first round this year or next if this is all true. Yikes.

Girardi's not in the deal. Kypreos has it as Moore, Duclair and multiple draft picks for Yandle. Arizona retaining 50% of Yandle's salary.

I still think that is steep.

Chia had months to get a deal done to replace Boychuck and never did it. We probably wouldn't be in this bind if his draft record was slightly better but what can you do? Mezaros here we come again!

Apologies to Girardi. Told he is now not expected in the deal. It's Moore , Duclair and mult'draft picks. #
NHLtrade. #Rangers #Coyotes.

1 of the picks is a first.  This is a huge price.

Maloney is doing a hell of a job. Turns 20 games of Vermette and 1.5 years of Yandle into 2 first round picks and a blue chipper in Duclair, Klas Dahlbeck and John Moore is a decent-ish piece as well. Not too bad, and they still could deal off Z. Michalek.

I'll move the Yandle trade posts over here when I'm not mobile. Let's put trade news and rumors (non-Bruins related) in here.

deep inside Guido territory
Rangers gave up a ton for Yandle, but just remember how much the Bruins gave up for Tomas Kaberle.  It ended up being 2 1sts and Joe Colborne for a rental in Kaberle.  Yandle's salary is half-paid by ARI and the Rangers get him for another year.

Petry to Montreal, per TSN.

Lavoie says the Leafs are trying to move both Kessel and Phaneuf today. Good luck to them. Been some smoke around Phaneuf and the Wings so maybe that happens.

Between here and everywhere.
It would be crazy to want Phil back here...right?

He'd fix the Bruins biggest weaknesses, in a lack of speed and elite goal scoring.

A fully healthy Bruins with Kessel playing on Lucic and Krejci's line would be....wow.

Damn. Was hoping he'd come to Boston
first real non over payment. That's a good deal for Montreal. That's a move I wouldn't have minded the Bruins making.

while I agree, it would be very difficult to fit his 8 million cap hit under the the Bruins cap right now. They'd have to get real creative.

I don't know a ton about hockey and the value of all the players and picks moving around, but I just wanted to check in here as a Rangers fan and let you all know that John Moore sucks and is not a loss in any way whatsoever. Half the time he was a healthy scratch for Matt Hunwick. It's probably a steep price, but the Rangers are clearly in GFIN mode, which is fine with me.

Cromulence, Moore isn't really the issue in that trade.  It's that they gave up their best prospect, a 1st rounder (when they don't have one this year) and a 2nd for a guy they will control for about 100 games and wont be able to afford after next year.  Definitely helps for this year, but it was a pretty steep price long term.

Right, I get that. Like I said, it's a GFIN move. Duclair could be great or he could amount to nothing, but they have a chance to win a cup right now, before he gets the chance to pan out. I don't have a problem with it at all - Lundqvist deserves a cup and I want him to get one more than I wanted Duclair to be a star for the next decade.
