Their defense is trash, which basically means their offense has to play perfectly. KC has about as good a chance of anyone to actually pull that off, but unless their defense materially improves they are going to be in shootouts each and every game and that’s just really tough.

I don’t think they’re going to miss the playoffs, but 10-7 or something isn’t totally out of the question. Course, their defense could improve over the course of the year and they could still end up 12-5.

lot of coaches like to keep the hypothetical TD/FG combo alive. Not sure I agree with it, but it seems to be a psychological thing, don't want to clip the emotional high with a failed 2pt.
