When you see something like that 92-yard Lions drive for a touchdown, you realize just how far away the Patriots are from being a good team on offense

Tyreek blows by the DB, and Huntley throws a terrible duck that ends in failure. This is why Huntley was cut before the season, and was hanging out on a PS.
Any time you can pick up a Pro Bowl QB, you need to do it. Elite players don't grow on trees. /sarcasm

Generally I'm a fan of classic uniforms/helmets, particularly for teams like the Lions. That said, those helmets are cool.

Doesn't the head count as down? It was cool but the second flip his helmet was on the ground.
Not sure if it was 100% down from the angles they've shown, since his helmet completely blends in with the Lions defender's jersey. But I do see what you mean.

The 718
Very well executed trick play by the Seahawks - pass to the slot receiver who then laterals back to a receiver on the other hash mark who scampers up the sideline for a first down.

but they’re losing 21-7 here

The 718
Geno Smiths resurrection as a contending QB in Seattle still astounds me. Must be some kind of genie wishes at work

Horse collar tackles are legal in the pocket? I would have assumed it would be a penalty to protect QBs.

Wait, I was only half paying attention... were Detroit fans booing the Lions as they ran into the locker room?

Ripped straight out of the Patriots playbook from yesterday

What would’ve happened had they accepted the penalty there? They would’ve had the ball 15 yards further up the field for one last play? Maybe the fans wanted to see a Hail Mary…

I have never wanted a Manningcast as badly as I want a Manningcast tonight.

Geno is interesting in that he was not great his first 2 years with the Jets, but then loses his job when his teammate punches him, Bowles got suckered into Fitzmagic and the GM didn't press it, then when Fitz got benched Geno blew out his knee. He was a guy who wasn't ready for the NFL and needed work, then injury and circumstance lead to him being a backup for a long while, where he matured, developed and when given a shot took the opportunity because he still had the physical skills that made him an early round pick, where most career backups just don't have the physical tools.

After beating the Dolphins this week the Pats should trade them Brissett for a 4th.
I think they'd rather see what Huntley can do once he knows the playbook given the way Brissett's last stint there went... probably the worst year of his career, he's not a great fit for that offense with the quick releases they rely on

For a guy with the rep of being an offensive genius, McDaniel sure seems to not be able to adapt when his starting QB goes down. I know that’s a tough situation for any team but it seems like they literally have no plan B.

seems to be two fold...
1. He plays his way no matter what.
2. His system is predicated on a QB who can do certain things, and his GM did not give him a 2nd who can. (They 100% should have traded for Mac even if they needed to overpay)

Not having a real backup QB when your starter has a long concussion history is insane
I asked before and don’t know for sure but assume they cut White Mike because of money. He is better than what they’re doing (at least he was for the Jets).

Also weird to me is.... they traded up to draft a 4th RB for this season instead of taking a guy like Rattler. If you want a cheap backup at QB, draft one in the 3rd/4th/5th. Like I get the year before not moving in for O'Connell or something because they had few picks, but this year they had picks, and they were willing to trade a future 3rd.... it's just terrible roster construction by Grier.

Dolphins should be embarrassed.
