Carr is good. It's true that he isn't very mobile and that was exacerbated tonight because the line is a mess, there isn't much running game, and the Chargers defense is great.

Yes, he is more likely to make mistakes when they are running out of time and desperate to make plays.
 
It amazes me that ESPN can't/doesn't find someone better than Levy for the NFL.
I don’t think he is as disliked generally as he is here. Nothing like Tess. I’m not saying I like him just why I think he still has the gig.
Steve Levy is the announcer version of the Will Ferrell skit where he can't modulate the volume of his voice.
"Aggressively mediocre" was the phrase I had in mind while listening to the Raiders-Chargers game. He's generally inoffensive, but he's not a very good play-by-play guy in a technical sense, and he really has little or no feel for football at all. He's an ESPN guy through and through, which probably explains his current role as much as anything.
