You put the ball in T-Rich's hands with the game on the line, you deserve to lose in painful fashion.

Why is Richardson in over Bradshaw and getting carries?
On another team, the fumble would have had him on the bench

Bomani Jones has made that point on Twitter many times, in defense of Cam Newton as well. He's not wrong.

I'm still waiting for the future elite QB to show up. I mean, he has the tools this year, it's time to make the jump.

Especially confounding off two fumbles in this game. Really bizarre decisions.

Maybe they get lucky with a stop -- not expecting it -- or win the coin toss, but they deserve to lose this one.

TRich is really mediocre. The Browns were both dumb and smart -- drafting him, but cutting bait.

So Indy is at home with the ball in a tie game and they run the ball twice and play for OT and punt and now they're gonna lose. Really wimpy playcalling.

What a joke. You have Andrew Luck on your team, a guy that is pretty damn good at mounting late game drives, and they run it into the line with probably the biggest underperforming back in the league twice, and then punt so their crappy defense can get smoked by Philly into FG range. That could be a fireable offense. If I'm in the front office, I''m going to need a pretty damn good explanation from the coaching staff.

Well, it's still 2 games to the Texans. It's still Indy's division to lose.

I'm not buying the Texans as being as bad as they were last year. That's still a decent defense, and if they get any decent quarterbacking at all out of Fitzpatrick, they can be back in the playoffs

It's enough to drive a team owner to drink

I disagree with this. The Colts and Texans were probably approximately equal strength coming into the year, and they've spotted them 2 games now.

Ray Lewis mentioned momentum. Somewhere in Brookline, Bill Barnwell hears a buzzing noise in his ear.

But he also mentioned the crucial INT in that regard.

It's ridiculous after all the flags in the preseason.

In any case. I'll regret BB never having the services of Sproles

On the other side of the coin, it was nice of Parkey to make people forget about his missed FG earlier in the game.  No last second jitters from the rookie kicker.

If Andrew Luck looked like Colin Kaepernick, what would people say about his smarts and decision-making?

That he should have won it and had a 101 QB rating? That pick was BS.

Have you checked out the team surrounding him?

I don't know if it's the surrounding team so much as the coaching/management. They made a visibly terrible decision to invest in Trent Richardson last year, and have doubled down with it this year. That's really cost them so far. But I agree Luck has been far from a problem - he's mostly looks great.

He's a clearly worse back than Bradshaw. Indy got hosed tonight, but pretty happy they did. Theyre a bad organization that doesn't deserve to fall ass backwards into Luck, hope they go 8-8 forever

Right I should have said the organization. I tweeted this earlier.

Luck threw 34 passes for a total of 175 or so yards. Who's fault was that?

He's still under 58% completion percentage for his career.

While you're looking at the box score how many times did he draw the defense offsides for a first down?

He also holds the record for most passing yards ever in players first two years.

The receivers aren't shitty. They're about average.

The Colts have won so many close games the last couple years, they were bound to lose a few at some point. In 2012 they went 9-1 in games decided by 7 points or fewer. In 2013 they went 5-1. Now 0-2 to start this year.

The 58% completion percentage is a bit inane - about half of those pass attempts are dragged down by his 54% rookie rate. Being good as a rookie is exceptionally rare - Peyton was at 56% and led the league in interceptions. There are a few mobile QBs who have been good as rookies, but for pocket guys, it's still a rarity.

I agree the numbers don't jump off the page, but career rates don't matter much for him.

Luck has actually gone from 54.1% to 60.2% to 63.2% (albeit in a small sample this year).

The concerning number to me is his YPA. 6.98 his rookie year to 6.71 last year to 6.23 through two games this year.

He also cut his interception % from 2.87% his rookie year to 1.58% last year, but is back up at 3.45% through two games this year.

Always interesting to monitor his progression.
