Holy shit. Not that it matters, but why wasn't the clock started on the Jets - like it was on the Pats?

It was literally the same situation - the defense (Giants) was charged a TO - but the clock was allowed to remain stopped (the Jets were given their TO back).

Oh - I see. You're right (looking at rules).

So... since Denver had no timeouts, shouldn't an additional 5 yards have been tacked on to the spot in favor of the Pats? It wasn't.

You get one excess timeout before being assessed a penalty, no?
