I love the fact that the Pats play Buffalo after Rex's NYJ SB. The letdown potential is off the charts.

If anything I think the opposite - that the Bills let down tonight because they are looking ahead to the Pats. I may be wrong though. Clearly tonight's game is more important to them in terms of making the playoffs since it is against another WC contender, whereas the Bills have no chance of catching the Pats.

Last week it was easy to hold my nose and root for the Colts because it was a clear benefit to the Pats for Denver to lose. Not so clear tonight so it'll be real hard to "root" for either of these teams.

I guess since the Jets have the better record, it would be better for them to lose. Plus, if the Bills somehow win (which I doubt) Rex will have his team way over hyped and under prepared for Super Bowl II next Sunday in Foxborough, and that's good for the Pats.

Pretty much agree with this. Gun to my head, I think the Jets are more of a threat to come into Foxboro and win in January, so a Bills win might be best for the Pats. Plus like you said, Rex hasn't won back to back games in an eternity.

I dunno. I think the only game that could out-Super Bowl the Pats game would be the return to the Meadowlands. The real letdown for them might be KC in 2.5 weeks. With all that said, I think you have to root for Buffalo tonight. I'd prefer the Jets to miss the playoffs.

The Jets were leading into the 4th quarter in Foxboro a few weeks ago and are the 4th ranked team per FO (a spot above Green Bay).

That team is no joke.

Honestly, with Peyton's limitations and Ware's health... could you make the argument that the Jets are a scarier playoff opponent than the Broncos?

Broncos are more of a threat from the perspective that they can still host the Pats in a playoff game, but if you are asking me who is more likely to come into Foxboro in January and win, I think it is really really close. Jets are really banged up right now but I assume they will get healthier.

I like Bowles, he carries himself and seems to acts like an adult. That one characteristic alone probably puts him in the top third of NFL coaches today. But the Jets are starting a QB that is going to have surgery on his injured finger tomorrow because their alternative is playing Geno Smith.

Never change Jets, never change.

On Felger and Mazz the other day, Paul Perillo said Rex Ryan's teams are 2-17 following a win the past few years. Meaning he gets so excited by a win, he loses focus.

Are the Bills trying to scare the shit out of the Jets by looking like the Patriots? Although the Pats weren't nearly as scary with the non-Flying Elvis uniforms.

where I was last at
Seems like it makes more sense to root for the Bills.

jams up the WC race makes it more interesting later in the season,
messes with the JETS psyches,
boosts schadenfreude factor
better Rex post-season press conference.

Go Bills

I love that NFL rules prevented Nike from giving these teams new helmets with different colors for this game. I'm sure that irritated whatever asshat thought of ColorRush and their sadness makes me happy.

Rex will be flying so fucking high if the Bills win today, I can't help but root for them. Will make his utter desolation after a thrashing in Foxborough that much sweeter.

Does the Arena league get royalties for the NFL ripping off their uniform concepts?

These uniforms are god awful. Having worked with fancy design/marketing companies I can see where the logic went horribly wrong.

The Bills uni reminds me of those old Grogan Pats ones. I prefer those a thousand times.

Those are three terrible passes.

Fitzy can't handle the rush, and it looks like the Bills front-four is already getting through.

Revis burned but the throw wasn't quite there.

Also, 4 straight bombs from these teams to open the game is awesome.
