The only thing that I'm really hoping for in the SB is that it gets decided on an obviously awful call.
If I’m the Eagles I’m making sure the league doesn’t change the QB sneak rules before the game to disallow The Push.

I’m gonna be in Turks and Caicos for the game. Watched the amazing Pats/KC AFCCG in Jamaica but will likely be sitting this one out or at least not prioritizing. Can’t stand the Chiefs and wife, a Giants fan, can’t stand the Eagles.

I guess I am still watching, so if I don’t change my behavior why should the NFL care?

But NFL officiating is terribly broken. I don’t know if NY is over interfering or under intervening or what, but this is just terrible. Every game now leaves me with a sour feeling that there was unfairness or incompetence. Yes, it has not reached critical mass. But I am tired of it. They need to try to make it better.

Not sure why their comments are making you guys upset. The Bruschi Pats would gotten FoxBurrow tattooed on their heads if they won this game.
The Patriots clapped back at those that hadn't been there before, though. Like the Texans, Chargers, etc. These Chiefs are clowning on a team that literally beat them there 12 months earlier and came damn close to doing the same tonight.

I think NFL officials get a bad rap and usually do a good job. But not tonight. That was an atrociously officiated game, and the breaks didn’t fall anywhere close to evenly.

Cincinnati was in control and elected to try deep shots on 2nd & 3 AND 3rd & 3 (long armpunt pick). Despite KC having no offense at the end, CIN lost control of the game right there. They were close to getting it back but the intentional grounding - sack combo with their shitty OL guaranteed no regulation win, then the roughing ended it.

I'm all for letting Kelce talk shit, I think it's silly to expect players not to honestly. It's just everything else out of his mouth makes him sound like the world's biggest tool

oh look.. there's the 20,000 reference to a Mahomes underhand toss.. Next time Mahomes gets disrespected will be the first.
They were calling his stadium “Burrowhead”. Joe was wearing a t-shirt that said “sorry in advance”. Patrick had a right to get his digs in when he won.

Overwhelming hate online for the officiating in that game. The nfl will ignore it like they always do. But it’s so bad.

The first half of Game 2 of the NBA championship last year was the only worse officiating job that I have witnessed. This was a close #2.
You must have never seen the fourth quarter of Game 7 of the 1981 Eastern Conference Finals.

Taylor made a mistake taking his second timeout at 47 seconds. You can let 10-12 seconds run off there, because either you get an incompletion and a clock stoppage on the next play, or you call your second timeout after that play. But what you can't do is leave the Chiefs 40 plus seconds and two timeouts, as they did.

I also think they fucked up calling the timeout with 42 seconds left. Number one goal there has to be to keep the ball away from Mahomes, especially with the new OT rules.

This take seems incongruous with the conversion to Chase on 4th down that set up the tying score.

There's offensive holding AT LEAST every other pass play in the NFL. Good luck getting them to call it even 75% of the time.

I think this would lead to a million penalties being called. No thanks. I’d prefer the refs just did their jobs.
They should cut the rule book in half. Or more. If they’re going to be this bad and get so much wrong, then the league should stop overregulating the game.

Make most holds legal, most DPIs, blocks in the back, etc.Just call the egregious stuff. They’re clearly not capable of accurately enforcing the current massive rule book.

Someone should have thanked the "greatest refs in the world".
Honestly, stfu with the refs. Are other team’s wins allowable in PatriotWorld, or is it only KC that is illegitimate? The Chiefs won with practice squad receivers. But Kelce offended the Queen in her casket with his post-game comments. Please.

did you just watch the same game we did? And you know you're on a Pats website.. right?

edit: the chiefs have been getting weak-ass calls all year...it's not just tonight.

Exactly. And nothing they just posted in any way refutes the fuckery that Cinci suffered in that game. They got screwed royally.

Honestly I don't think the NFL minds that the officials are by and large terrible, nor do I think they're going to do anything about it. Controversy and keeping themselves in the news are good for the business of The Shield.

Sorry, didn’t realize dissenting opinions were not allowed.
