You needed a drive there and you let a WR throw a pass? The Detroit coaching has been awful today.

He hesitated and it looked like he knew he shouldn’t throw it, and then he threw it.

Won’t win many games when you’re minus-4 on turnovers.

I have no real problem with that playcall I'm sure the teaching point since it went in was "if he isn't wide open just run with it".... Players play bad

Blowing it in SF last year will haunt them. Losing both coordinators after this. It's just hard to get back

I’m kinda excited to see how Dan Quinn blows this. Who will be the Lions’ Hightower?

This just lays bare that Detroit’s defense can‘t win a Super Bowl after all the injuries.

With this line of thinking, has there ever been a bad play call on the NFL ever? I mean, no one calls plays expecting them to suck.

Imagine being a lions fan. You suffer through 60 plus years of misery. This is your year. You’re convinced you’re going to the Super Bowl. Finally. You pay $1000 a pop to watch the game through binoculars in your nose bleed seats. You watch your team do whatever this is. Then you have to go back to your home… in Detroit. Big yikes.

You can’t leave those decisions to WR’s that went to school in Alabama in the fourth quarter of a playoff game where you’re favored and losing and having been moving the ball at will and have a premier RB

The fact that the play failed so horribly is proof that it was a bad play call. You don’t call that play if you aren’t 100% sure Williams will make the right decision there.

Still have 5 starters injured on D, correct?
All 16 players on injured reserve as of the divisional round:

I’ll admit, I would’ve kicked the FG there.
