I like the ref running in to check the spot after he had already been touched down and then inched forward more

First they decided to protect the QB, then wide receivers, but how about punt returners? They have a shitty job looking up and not being able to see what's coming at them. Running backs also, sort of. The NFL has its work cut out deciding what to declare as unnecessary roughness and what not.

Gotta get rid of the strong presumption that the call on the field is correct on plays subject to automatic review (e.g., scoring plays). Pretty obvious the officials on the field had no clue there, and the video shows he's probably short of the goal line.

Yeah, the presumption has always mystified me.
 
Just give the refs a clear mandate: MAKE THE RIGHT CALL ON THE BALANCE OF THE EVIDENCE YOU SEE.
