Honestly the big differences between them are:
1. McConnell is simply a much better defender across the board.
2. McConnell is a much more prolific chance creator for teammates
3. He takes a much larger percentage of his shots from 2.
Funny thing is.... their overall efficiency since PP has been in the league by TS% is identical.
Really though I think the question was probably more about whether Pritchard can overcome physical limitations to become a good defender like TJ has.... which maybe he could, but he's nowhere close to him right now.

You have to give PP for being persistent pita defender, and a terrific for his size rebounder.

Knicks getting nothing on defense. Probably the weirdest game defensively I've seen from them all season. Not rotating well, slow against the pick and roll, wide open 3s. If that's how the whole series is going, pacers in 4.
This does have a similar feel to the sixers games right now. Knicks not playing well but the sixers could not figure out how to run up the score and kept letting the knicks back in.
They are indeed slow on D - perhaps the cost of the heavy minutes - but to me Robinson's hobbling D is the reason.
From Statmuse: TJM had "the highest FG% by a PG this season at 55.6%". That's a much different shot profile than PP.

Knickerbockers might win this game but I don’t know if they can win a series at this pace. Carlisle has the Hoosiers playing like maniacs.
The insane part on that... his 3PA per game... 0.6 in 18MPG.. the next lowest among qualifiers... Russ with 2.3 in 22 minutes. Dude just does not take 3s.

I love that guy. Really wanted Celts to get him somehow...he's just a versatile gamer.
This was one of the most exciting games I had seen (non Cs) until refs started tightening it up
Am I going crazy or does TNT still have the wrong score up there? Knicks have 104, Hart tied it up.
Yes, when Hart scored on the layup I wondered how it went from 104-99 to 104-102.
He did. I'm wondering if they turned an unrelated 3 into a 2 or something. They had the wrong score up for the pacers near the half for a minute

No, they screwed up when they had him tying the game. HIs four point play put them within one (104-103) not tied.

Carlisle not going to McConnell is probably punting on this game to play the long game, but it's crazy to me.
